Grenshotel de Jonckheer was an absolute surprise to us. This is a beautiful hotel, seemingly in a modest small town. There is a lovely bar whereby you can sit outside and relax and watch the world go by. A walk into the centre of the town is about 15 minutes along a nice street with interesting houses to admire. The rooms were spacious and very clean. There is plenty of very secure parking at the hotel. We came on a motorbike and felt very happy leaving the bike in the car park. The breakfast was excellent with a "fits all tastes" buffet. We would definitely return.

Stunning beautiful hotel, great staff, fantastic rooms, food amazing, loved every single thing about this hotel, which is in a lovely village close to the motorway. I highly recommend staying here if this is anywhere near your route. Look forward to staying again

We had lunch with a group of 7 and sat at a round table. Perfect setup and the "kitchen" deserves 5 stars. Food presentation, freshness and taste fantastic. Most of us had the asperges set menu, wow worth every penny. As birthdays are reoccurring so is our lunch. The Jonckheer restaurant keeps up a high quality standard over the years. With our visit being on a Friday and the temperature well in the twenties both the restaurant and outside terrace were packed. Restaurant staff was unable to keep up with the service, which is understandable when so many people turn up. You can't have 20 serving staff, sitting around all month for that few days with exceptional weather and high turn up at the terrace. We sat 3,5 hours probably closer to 4, which is fine, but at least serve the drinks when waiting between courses. When you find this review useful please give me the thumbs up. Thanks and Enjoy !

Don’t book a single room for comfort!
Stayed in a single room and the bed was so creaky and uncomfortable. Also had room service which was delivered without cutlery.

I usually stay at this hotel on the right side of the building when entering the lobby and all is fine. This time, I was on the left side and it was a really bad experience. First, I waited 15 min to have someone at the reception desk to check-in. The room was worn-out and basic. It was very noisy from all sorts of AC noises around the room. The bed was very small, uncomfortable, and the "pillow" more hard small rocks than anything...
That said, people are nice, food is good, it's a pity that there is such a difference between the two parts of the hotel...
