While the people working at the 'resort' were really very very nice, the place itself was not. The whole place appears to be in pretty poor condition with minimal anesthetics. Rooms for 1-2 persons are very small (but ok for sleeping) , my room did not have wifi reception (I had to go out to a dining area near the pool to get any signal, so no privacy), the pool was nice and the water clear but the sides were lightly green with algae. That said, there are lots of jeepkos for getting around very cheaply, a nice shopping center relatively close, and you couldn't ask for kinder, nicer, more helpful hosts!
Note: There is no real beach near there, just short narrow areas with a bit of sand and a lot of rocks at the waters edge. The sea is really beautiful and clear, but also lots of rock or coral. Also, most (not quite all) other 'resorts' in the area looked to be in similar condition.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We were able to go to our room in the morning and got one with a balcony by the sea.
Functional facilities but completely reasonable for the price. Air conditioning works and is not too loud. A non-slip mat in the bathroom would be useful though, because unfortunately everything is wet after a shower.
No mosquitoes on the sea side and only sounds from the sea can be heard. If you're lucky, you can go snorkeling directly from the balcony when the sea and tide are calm and see giant turtles.
Well suited to taking the bus to go whale shark snorkeling in around 20-30 minutes. Oslob with restaurants can be reached on foot or by bus. Organized excursions are not required in principle.

Although it is undeniable that it has deteriorated over time, the facilities are good. Quiet with separate air conditioning. Fridge, TV, electric kettle, and free coffee in the room. Of course, hot water shower. The staff is also friendly. Something unpleasant happened at the hotel I was originally planning to stay at, so I checked out in a hurry, even throwing away my accommodation fee. I negotiated with this place, which I was planning to stay at the next day, and they kindly agreed. It was a great help.

Glad we booked
We arrived late but the welcome was wonderful. The place is an absolute cracker for the money.Basic but clean, breakfast was fresh and well served and the pool is such a refreshing way to spend a late afternoon after exploring. ‘Martin’ the turtle swims up to the shore in an afternoon for a nosy which is great to see in his own surroundings and of his own free will. We definitely recommend to book here and would stay again.

Awesome little hotel
First off... this jitel is not 4 or five star hotel so if you are looking for one then book something else... BUT it offers all the amenities you normally need. It has a nice pool, has hot water in showers and AC in rooms. Food is also okay. Staff of the hotel are awesome and really helpful. I highly recommend that you ask the hotel to arrange your whale watching/sightseeing tour. They have some tricks up their sleeves that might help you save lots of time queing.
