The room facilities are all good. The price is not cheap. The breakfast is especially expensive. Northern Europe is really a high-consumption area. In addition, the front desk service level needs to be improved. They issued the wrong water bill and recorded the wrong breakfast bill. đ

A well-known Norwegian chain hotel. The biggest advantage is that it is close to the central station.
The room is large and comfortable, but the overall hotel facilities are not the most addictive
Advantages: A rich breakfast. There are free fruits and coffee machines in the lobby. Hot tea is available. This is a benefit for cold Northern Europe. Being close to the station is the biggest advantage.
Disadvantages: There are not many elevators and the equipment has a sense of age, but the rooms are basically new.

This hotel is well located to explore Oslo. The breakfast buffet is large, varied and excellent. The staff are friendly, but could be better informed to help guests with their questions. Rooms are relatively spacious with a. funky modern decor but arenât cleaned unless guests request it. The included dinner can be hit or miss in terms of quality, quantity and service. Overall, a good, not a great, choice.

Really loved the location which was a 3 min walk away from Oslo Central Station and surrounded by shopping malls! Check in was easy as the concierge is open 24/7 and although the room wasnât spacious, it was comfortable enough for 2! Super loved their wide spread of buffet breakfast and thereâs also a live egg station! Will recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Scandic Byporten from July 4 to July 7, 2025.
The location is perfect â right next to the central station, which made getting around Oslo incredibly easy.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of fresh and tasty options.
The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Oslo!

This hotel is conveniently located near the train station. It was quite busy, and my room on a high floor offered a pleasant view. Summer sunsets in the Nordic countries are very late; I arrived at the hotel after a 6-hour train ride just in time to catch one. While the window couldn't be fully opened, I still enjoyed a beautiful view of the sunset. Complimentary iced water was available on the ground floor, though it was removed after 10 PM. There are shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The room was quite clean and a good size.

Excellent stay in oslo as it's very close to the train station and bus stops so getting around the city was easy. The hotel has its own luggage storage area which was convenient when we had a late departure from oslo so we could continue to explore whilst our luggage was kept safe.

This hotel has a good location, making it convenient for exploring the city. Most staff were welcoming and helpful. However, itâs more of a basic place to sleep rather than a comfortable stayâamenities like an electric kettle, tissues, slippers, and toiletries (toothbrush, etc.) were missing. If you just need a simple, no-frills stay in a good spot, it works.
