Hotel Ilmonte

Umeda Osaka|0.15km from UNIQLO(Umeda)
Where do I begin with the problems? This may seem centrally located, but it is still quite a hike from Osaka Station, especially with bags. As other travelers have noted, the entrance is fairly well hidden, we got lucky and walked in the right door and figured out where to go the first time, but that was just dumb luck. The area was the most seedy place I have been anywhere in Japan. There was trash on the streets, and loud fights going on practically everywhere. Had to push our way past the drunks on the way in and the way out. Staff took FOREVER to do check in and couldn't seem to find our reservation and yes, then it cost a bit more for no appreciable reason. Luggage storage area simply a roped off area in the tiny check in room (anybody could make off with your luggage and nobody would know the difference). We asked for two keys because there were two of us and got major static, but eventually our two keys. Elevator up to our floor claustrophobic beyond belief - could barely fit the two of us and our luggage. The room was small and cramped. All the advertised amenities were there, but in miniature. The walls are done up in 1970s dark paneling, so lighting is a major issue. Also had to hunt around to find the electrical outlets to charge our phone/tablets. Bathroom was decent sized, but the faucet sounded like a 747 taking off every time we used it. EVERY time we left our room, we were stopped by hall staff demanding to know who we were and where we were going. Nobody tells you that the rooms are right next to a busy freeway overpass, so you have cars and trucks going by all day and night. Then in the morning you are treated to the sights and sounds of guys pouring their drunken girlfriends into taxis right out in front of the hotel. And yes, there are the police and ambulances constantly moving around 24/7. Then the breakfast is an adventure. We bought tickets, but as there are no signs we sat down at one of the tables and were almost assaulted by the dining room lady who DEMANDED our tickets. After getting over our sheer embarrassment from that we went to the ”buffet” that was limited at best, with most things running out almost immediately. It was a struggle to find something to eat in any sufficient quantity to start your day. Protein offerings ran out FAST, even in the very early hours. If you want an adventure in lodging, this is the place for you. If you want someplace that is relatively friendly, has some customer service, is not overrun by rude staff and drunks, go somewhere....anywhere....else.

Capsule Inn Osaka (Male Only)

Good value for money. However, the inconvenient thing is that you have to check out by 10pm every day, vacate the room, and check in again after 3pm. It feels a bit uncomfortable to stay overnight, but I think some people actually like it because they pay so much attention to cleanliness. Bathing is free for hotel guests. I know that just taking a bath is possible. Personally, I recommend the B Capsule Room. If you stay in the cheapest capsule, the accommodation is on the 3rd floor and the locker is on the 1st floor and the locker is very small. It probably won't fit even the smallest suitcase, but it doesn't matter because they store it at the counter 24 hours a day. Capsule Room B is recommended for convenience as it is located in a 4th floor locker room. I can't remember if it was a deluxe room or a superior room. If you are staying on the 3rd floor, there is a robe in the locker on the 1st floor, so you can use the bathhouse on the 2nd or 1st floor with only the robe on. In the case of the 4th floor, you can pick up a gown from the robe storage area in front of the counter on the 1st floor or inside. Smoking rooms are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th floors. I don't know much about the 5th floor because I've never been there. I also don't know because I haven't received a massage. It is convenient as there is an entrance connected to the underground shopping subway station that goes down to the station near the accommodation. If you go towards the station, you can find most things. In the case of reservation cancellation, the process is very complicated because the Trip App and ******* accommodations are involved. If the hotel staff sees this, we apologize for bothering you with the cancellation. Oh, and in the case of the 4th floor, you have to turn on the button at the capsule entrance to turn on the ventilation fan or lights. Vending machines for cigarettes, beer and beverages are available inside the property. A decent-sized izakaya on the second floor? bar? There's something similar, so if you're coming with friends, you could probably drink there. If you come out near the accommodation and immediately turn right, there is a delicious ramen restaurant on the left. Personally, I think it's only for men in the first place, but Dotonbori is hard to tour because there are too many people anyway, so I recommend it to people who want to have a drink and relax with men. Prices are slightly higher on Friday and Saturday. Oh, and if you're tall, I don't recommend the cheapest capsule. The price difference isn't that big, so I recommend room B.

I am a frequent traveller and highly spoiled normally staying in Four Seasons but on Tripadvisor i noticed this hotel and the super reviews and looking at prices it was interesting to try and happy I did! Quick review: -top housekeeping, big compliment for this team -super clean rooms -spacious room with huge balcony and this is a huge bonus to the room also the amazing view -very silent rooms, no noise from other rooms, alley or street -very complete room with everything you need -great bed! -friendly staff although English is not very good and surprised me especially in reception Location is the keyword, I walked around a lot and found this hotel is superb to visit Osaka, everything important within walking distance. Some minor points I think the hotel should improve: -concierge service and English language i really missed -slippery bathtub, improvement needed as they don’t have a seperate shower, very dangerous so input a towel in the tub. -there is no bar! I can highly recommend this fine hotel and would return without any doubt. To be improved in my view: - bathtub is too slippery and dangerous so needs improvement - language skills of reception is poor and concierge service would be good to have -there is no bar but they have a great outdoor terrace so use it for drinks!

The location is convenient Take hep five and walk along the est line and you'll be there in 5-8 minutes. There is すき家同lawson nearby, 711 It’s so convenient to go to Umeda Street~~ How big is the room space? There is a washing machine built into the bathroom, and there is a heater inside that also has a drying function, so you can dry it in a few minutes! Everything and the place are so clean The only disadvantage is that we don’t have the same bench 😂 If you have a desk, you can use the gip as a desk without washing it🙈

The location is very good, and the sanitary environment is good. For service, you have to OEM to let the waiter clean the room and she will clean it. If the facilities are good, the only thing is that the room is a code lock. Every time you enter the door, you have to enter the code, which is troublesome. , For these two points, the others are good, close to the station, and there are convenience stores when you go out, not bad

The lobby service is good. We were preparing to go from Osaka to Kyoto, but the traffic information in Google Navigation was quite confusing, and the lobby couldn't provide immediate answers, so we ordered us to have breakfast first and she helped with the search. After coming back, explain patiently and write it down on paper in advance. The breakfast is cost-effective and tastes good, including delicious frozen lychees. The price of the hotel is more suitable in the Umeda area. Because it was difficult to book a hotel when it was fully booked, I stayed elsewhere for two nights and moved here.

Location, size, price, etc. are perfect. In particular, the amenities are abundant and very satisfying. The shower was also a miracle shower, and the hospitality was substantial.
