Hotel Wako

This hotel is recommended for solo travelers on a low budget. This is better than staying at a net cafe. The private rooms are quite comfortable, with complete facilities. Even though I am a foreigner, the hotel staff served me kindly. I will use this hotel again if I go to Osaka.

It was really nice to be able to check in before noon. When using the shower, it's a bit of a hassle to borrow the key from the front desk. Also, this is the type of hotel where you take off your shoes before taking them to your room.

I wanted to stay in Nishinari, so I decided to stay at Waka, which is often featured on YouTubers. Considering that it costs 1,600 yen, I think it's worth the price. At the entrance, the receptionist greeted us politely. What surprised me was that there was a young man at the reception on the day I checked in, and a beautiful young woman at the reception on the day I checked out.I felt that times had changed. Young women were often seen on the streets. The room had a smell. Is it a cigarette? That's what I thought, but it was like the smell of someone who hasn't taken a bath, so it bothered me at first, but after being in the room for a long time, it stopped bothering me. The futon was clean, but it was a little thin, and there was some noise from the TV when I slept late at night. When I checked out at 8:40 in the morning, the cleaning staff treated me warmly, which was nice. I think it's okay to stay overnight out of curiosity.

The house is quite old, and many facilities, such as the water dispenser, are very old. The free luggage storage and smoking are the reasons why I chose it.

About 7 minutes walk from Dobutsuen-mae subway station. Access is not bad. The room is about 4 tatami mats in size, so the space is mostly just for sleeping. Comes with a small desk and hangers. The air conditioner was usable without any problems. The toilet is shared. Bathing is timed. You can use the shower anytime by asking the front desk. Free access 24 hours a day.
