Arashi Hotel Namba

Location is good, Namba station exit 28 is just right outside the hotel door (but note that Namba station is huge, so it depends which line you're coming from, you may need to walk around the station for long before reaching exit 28). But hotel feels quite like a budget hotel with very basic cheap amenities. I especially dislike the fact that the hotel only accepts luggage deposit till 6pm on check out day. We wanted to deposit our luggage there till 8pm (only 2 hours more than the "free" period) but the receptionist told us it will be chargeable, quoting us a "good deal" of ¥2,000 for 2 large size luggages + 1 duffer bag. Luggage storage lockers at Namba metro station is only ¥800 per locker per day, thus making them cheaper than the hotel's "good deal".

Not a good location if you have many heavy luggages, the nearest exit from namba station to the hotel is via stairs. But the location to bus airport terminal is near. There is toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush and slippers but no coffee provided. There is no cleaning service for up to 3 days stay. There is luggage storage until 6pm.

Location is excellent for family. It is easy to travel Metro, JR and bus across the Namba station and Airport and other stations.

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance of Dotombori district.There is an excellent sushi restaurant just around the corner. The rooms are very small and they are not cleaned daily, we found a cockroach in our room. The front desk clerk is usually not visible and you need to ring the bell if you need assistance.
