La Soffitta e la Torre is situated in the heart of Orvieto, just a short walk to restaurants, shopping and attractions. It is accessible by vehicle for dropping off bags, but the closest parking is about 1 km away. The recommended parking lot is very inexpensive at 1 Euro per day. The room we had was spacious, clean and well-maintained, with the exception that the bed was somewhat lumpy. There is no fridge in the suite, but there is a kettle. The suite was very characterful, in the attic of the old building with wooden beams and a view over the square. There are several rooms in the attic, all opening onto a common area, so you may be sharing this space with others. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Communication was good and it was easy to contact the host (who lives next door) while we were there. Despite overlooking a square, we found it to be quiet.

Fantastic location, practically in the center. Fantastic room, clean, spacious and with a small equipped kitchen. Very kind lady. The price and hospitality were right. Fantastic Orvieto. If we were to return we would definitely come back here!

We only spent one night (unfortunately) in this location. The lady who welcomed us was very kind, helpful and at the same time discreet. The palace is a beautiful medieval palace with themed furnishings, with a splendid view of the Palace and Piazza del Popolo. Clean and tastefully furnished room. The common areas are also beautiful. The only flaw, so to speak, is the lack of a lift, but as the owner told me, it wasn't used in the Middle Ages! Highly recommended! I hope to come back soon

In Orvieto there is no place where you don't have to pay a substantial fee in terms of steps to climb! This excellent B&B is "limited" to around fifty of them, offering a pleasant view of the square and the city. Well-kept, with large, well-furnished rooms and excellent cleanliness. Extremely quiet, it is a splendid base for visiting Orvieto (and its steps...). The welcome is no exception, very courteous and helpful. Being in the center, it is not recommended to try to park nearby (almost impossible); it is much better to leave the car in the (free) car park behind the train station at the foot of Orvieto and with the same bus ticket go up with the very comfortable funicular and then take a bus to the Duomo from which La Soffitta e La Torre is a few minutes on foot. Obviously it is essential to book.

Una struttura estremamente accogliente e davvero bella. La sig.ra Beatrice sin dal nostro arrivo ha dimostrato una grande disponibilità. Abbiamo sempre notato una perfetta pulizia dei locali e una grande cura, affinché il soggiorno fosse sempre confortevole. Quello che più ha sorpreso me e mia moglie è che molto spesso dicevamo “torniamo a casa” e questo in 5 giorni di permanenza ci ha fatto sentire un po’ orvietani. Partiremo con un po’ di nostalgia per questo magico borgo. Grazie di cuore alla sig.ra Beatrice e alla sig.ra Maria Silvana, sua madre.
