What a wonderful welcoming home in a beautiful small village. Isabella and Marco go above and beyond to ensure you have all the comforts of home. Their home is very elegant with so many interesting antiques. We have stayed at many B & B's especially throughout Italy and Casa Isabella is by far the best. The ensuite bathroom is gorgeous and very clean, as is the bedroom. I can't say enough about the delicious breakfast. Marco is an excellent cook and every day we were served eggs cooked to perfection along with toast, sweets, fruit, etc. and coffee in our room before breakfast. It is very evident that Isabella and Marco are very proud of their venture and go to great lengths to make your stay comfortable. We certainly hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you Isabella and Marco for making our 4 days in La Rocca so memorable. Lena and Domenico

Isabella and Marco gave us one of the most warmest of welcomes in all of the seven weeks we had been travelling through Europe. We were invited in and shown to our room before being offered refreshments of coffee and ice cream cake out on the terrace. One thing you will notice straight away is how everything is of a very high standard and done so beautifully. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean and spotless and the linens and lace were absolutely beautiful. A tray- mobile is brought to your room before breakfast with the first coffee of the day then breakfast is served out on the terrace. Everything is done to a five star standard and there was an abundance of food and a great variety to choose from, even bacon and eggs. We felt very pampered and more like we were family coming to visit rather than strangers travelling through. Isabella and Marco went above and beyond to make our stay just perfect and it’s easy to see that they enjoy what they do as it’s what makes their B & B so popular. Our only regret was that we had only booked to stay one night. When saying goodbye we were given sandwiches to take with us, such a thoughtful thing to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to others. We would love to return one day.

What an amazing experience we had at this lovely B&B. Isabella and Marco could not have been any more gracious. We arrived around lunch and our hosts were kind enough to make us a delicious lunch. We were so appreciative of their kindness. Our room was gorgeous, beautiful linens, comfy pillows, and very quiet. Our breakfast the next morning, on the terrace was out of this world. Eggs and bacon, local pastries, yogurt with honey and pine nuts, fresh fruit, fresh pear juice, coffee, tea. Let’s just say we didn’t need lunch. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for a couple more nights.

This place is a very special labor of love in a charming small village on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Marco and Isabella are the epitome of hospitality and welcomed, fed and advised us throughout a two night stay. They wheeled a coffee cart into our room before breakfast, led or delivered us to restaurants and even did a load of laundry for us at a reasonable cost. The villa and 3 antique period rooms are magnificent and the large terrace where they serve breakfast (and wine with delicious home made snacks) was a big plus. This is the place to spend a few days if you want a memorable stay in a very interesting and lovely part of Italy. We thought it was a bargain too.

Excellent stay in a historic B&B with wonderful hosts. We spend two nights in this B&B, a historic building inherited by Isabella, a co-owner of the B&B with her husband Marco. The hotel feels like a historic villa or palazzo, with rooms decorated with antique furniture. You could not ask for more hospitable hosts. We had a warm reception and welcome drinks and appetizers on their roof-top. Breakfasts were wonderful and included a pre-breakfast coffee and cookie brought us to on a tray outside our room. But the best part of our stay was enjoying the company of our wonderful hosts. They recommended activities and restaurants, and made reservations for us. Even though the weather was very rainy during our visit, we really enjoyed our stay. It would be a particularly wonderful place to stay in good weather, when one could eat in nearby trabocchi and go hiking in nearby Majella National Park. But even in bad weather, we visited nearby Rocca Scalegna Castle, which I strongly recommend seeing, as it is an ancient castle built in the 11th century in a remarkable settting, precariously perched over a cliff.

We were interested in a unique vacation in the Abruzzo region, and found the Trabocci, the restaurant structures built over the seashore offering truly fresh seafood. So we decided to find a hotel/B&B nearby, if possible. The little city of Rocca San Giovanni seemed to fit the bill and we booked with Casa Isabella, an historic property. We weren't expecting much more than a comfortable inn but boy were we surprised! We were met by the B&B's namesake owner, Isabella, and immediately offered some refreshment. (Isabella incidentally was an international high fashion model, still very glamourous, and stylish) The inn offers three elegant rooms, beautifully decorated, with period furniture on one hand and modern bathrooms, fully stocked with quality toiletries and plenty of towels on the other hand. Our room, the Donna Ermina, was attractive and quiet, the bed comfortable, and the room completely serviced every day. The breakfasts were wonderful...fresh pastries, juices, fruit, eggs to order. In good weather, guests were seated on an outdoor terrace. A special touch was Isabella bringing a teacart with "the first cup of coffee" to one's room at whichever time guests preferred. And during our stay Marco, Isabella's husband and partner (and chef!) sent guests off each day with sandwiches. Free parking was available nearby in several areas close to the B&B. The best part of this inn was the owners hospitality and generosity, the worst was having to leave at the end of our stay.

I gestori Isabella e Marco, son persone eccezionali. Ci siamo sentiti come a casa nostra e coccolati in ogni istante. L'ambiente è molto curato in ogni dettaglio.

Loredana e Pietro
