Oh my gosh - what a shocker. Yes I know my room only cost £40 a night and yes I know beggars have no choice but this is unbearable! I could go on and on about how much I hate this place - fact On, I'd do it! Old, run down, the only good thing is the free wifi, which in fact isn't all that reliable. You have to take a disused back road (seems to be used only for locals to go to the pizzeria, it's a very suspicious place) to a very run down car park, the road is not easy to walk - don't think you can use a handcart with wheels box, unless you're trying to lug it over a lot of rocks, if you check in is fine, but then my card didn't work and I had to go back to reception to deal with it. After that I had to lug my rather heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs to get to my room and was greeted with the biggest shock - it was the smallest room I've ever seen with almost nothing but the bed Space was lost, with a low, sloping ceiling, no equipment to make hot drinks, a very poor portable TV, and a shocking reception. The bathroom is next door and is shared by 4 bedrooms (bath only - no shower) and downstairs is a very ugly room that serves as a shared pantry. BTW - I left my dirty glass in there the first morning and despite being refilled with milk, that glass was still there the next night. On the first night of my stay there was a banquet which turned out to be nightclub singers plosive at what time, as the hotel is right next to a huge railway bridge there was nothing quiet about it. I also had to open my windows as the room wasn't well ventilated and the noise from the main road with nightclub singers was maddening. I didn't eat at the hotel, for my dinner I decided to go to Orpington, I wouldn't recommend that either, but that's another story......
