Monumental Hotel Orlando

Had a funky smell when I first entered but thankfully my floor smelled fine. Bed was uncomfortable and really flat pillows but other than that, for the price, it was an enjoyable stay.

Lovely place and people

The location was very nice, close to all necessities. The only bad things were the actual landscaping of the hotel or lack thereof. The grass needed cut,bushes needed to be trimmed and the debris needed to be removed from the parking lot. The pool and hot tub were the best parts. The main issue was there was no hot water at all.

Yes terrible

I have no doubt that this hotel was beautiful when it first opened. This building needs a full update. You can see the wear and tear everywhere. After reading some reviews on Google, I brought a can of Lysol and some disinfectant wipes. As one review said, my room had a smell. I sprayed the room down and went to an event. When I got back it was gone. Faucet was loose. TV glitched in and out. Pool was brown in places, the hot tub is now a planter, and there was a guy remodeling his RV trailer in the parking lot. Front desk wasn't awful, but not the friendliest. Some of the rooms number markers had been replaced with mailbox number stickers. I can say I was thankful that the mattress was new and great. Over all, I've stayed at other worse places, it did the job. I didn't take any pics, if you want to see a more accurate depiction, look it up on google maps.

The pool says that it is heated, but it is not. It also says that it is open until 10pm, but they close it at dusk. During our stay the AC went out in our room and we had to be moved to a different room. The breakfast was a 4/10, coffee was the best part of the breakfast experience. The hotel itself needs to be upgraded- the rooms were very old and the beds were not comfortable. It is convenient in location only. The staff were very friendly though.

Proporty is a bit outdated, but it's located in a very convenient place. Everything is so close. People working there are super friendly and the area is very quiet.

This place is a great value for the money. They've done a good job of making luxury hotel amenities, like room service, accessible at only $10ish a plate and the pool area is gorgeous. Unfortunately it was way too cold to take a dip. The also helped so much when I left my cosplay bag and shipped it right over :) There are some minor areas for improvement that I think would revive some reviews: bed needs more/better pillows and a real comforter, needs towels at the pool, move the front desk to the actual entrance(people are carrying heavy bags and they currently have to find the "front desk" by walking to an entrance that's not even accessible by car. You have a desk at the front, just use it lol). Overall this is a good value stay that gives you a taste of luxury at a decent price. The service is super friendly even if they're a bit disorganized. I think it'd be great for y'all to just take online orders for room service so you don't have to write everything down. I ordered room service for my travel buddy and it was forgotten 2x. Just implementing easier ways to communicate things like with guests I feel would be very helpful for you. It is very obvious that this hotel hasn't been updated in a long time, but it's kept in great condition despite that. In room amenity I didn't get was the CD player. Nobody uses CDs anymore. You could very easily replace them with bluetooth speakers at like $15 a pop. I know this is a bigger ask, but smart tvs? Nobody wants to watch cable.

Place was quite...room checkin was simple. Pool was nice along with the hot tub. I only stayed a night so cant comment on long term. The room was big and appeared clean. The AC was the big downfall..it was super loud and turned on and off ever 5 minutes.
