Now that we have returned to the daily routine of city life we can say it: how good was it at Girasole? We spent two weeks with our family (with our two children), one of which in the company of another family of friends, and everything was perfect from every point of view. Each family has its own mini-apartment (with kitchen, fridge, bathroom with shower...), all overlooking a wonderful lawn where it is a shame not to walk barefoot: in our case, each maintaining our own "independence", it was nice to meet up with friends in the morning to have breakfast together or in the evening for dinner, always outdoors (each accommodation also has an outdoor table). Immersed in all this greenery is the "relaxation" area: hammocks in the shade to read a book and the swimming pool with deckchairs and umbrellas. Always clean, water at the perfect temperature (you enter directly, without suffering the fateful moment when your belly gets wet) and always “open”: I liked to start the day with a swim when everyone was still asleep, but it is ideal for afternoons when you don’t feel like going to the beach and you stay in the farmhouse to enjoy the peace or for an evening dip before the aperitif. Strategic position: you are immersed in the Maremma countryside and its colors, but the nearest supermarket for a quick purchase is a 6-minute drive away and the sea can be reached in 20-30: the savings compared to solutions a few steps from the beach are enormous, the relaxation is priceless and then every day you can choose a different beach among all those in the area. But the real strong point is Massimiliano. Young, easy-going, available: for advice on the beaches to reach, the villages to visit or where to eat; for help if one evening you want to light the barbecue for a barbecue; for all the other little “needs” like an extra set of towels or a “variation” in breakfast (in the basket that is left on the table, outside the door, there are fresh croissants taken from the bakery every morning, bread, fruit juices, milk, jams… but we also asked for focaccia and… we found that too!). In short, you immediately have the feeling of being more than just “guests”, perfectly at ease from the first day; it is the philosophy of the place, you just have to know how to embrace it.
