Orange County Hotels with Parking

The budget hotel near Disney in California is a decent option for those looking for an affordable stay close to the park. Customer service is lacking in some of your employees. Colin, specifically, the front desk person should NOR be speaking to guests. When I called the front desk from my room asking for more pillows and blankets. Why? Because there were 4 people in the room, and the sofa bed is not the most comfortable. Colin answers the phone and said in an unfriendly tone: ”Let me see what I can do.”. That is not the way to talk to a customer. I asked him: ”What do you mean?”. He said: ”Some of the guests may have already taken all of the blankets and pillows.” Well, this is a hotel. I was under the assumption that hotels have extra pillows and blankets. Anyway, what a stupid way to answer! He could have said: ”No problem. I will have someone deliver those to you right away.” The nice gentleman who showed up from housekeeping came back to our room 4 times. He was the sweetest. I wish I remembered his name. He got us blankets, and then pillows. He even reminded me that we had pillows and blankets in the bag on the top of the closet. I also forgot that I needed an additional bath towel because there were only 3 in the bathroom. Once again, housekeeping gave me an extra towel. He was very customer-oriented UNLIKE Colin (from the front desk) who should not be working in this industry which entails being customer-focused. Maria was very good. She even helped me book the room for 7/16/2022 when I had a problem booking it online on 7/11/2022. She stayed on the phone with me until I got the booking confirmed. I had the opportunity to meet Maria when we checked out. She is very pleasant. On the other hand, Colin, should be reprimanded for bad customer service skills. He needs to GO. He also doesn't explain anything upon check-in. He rushed everything. He just handed me the key and asks me to refer to the card in the back of the key holder. He has no warmth.

Our hotel stay was smooth from the start. The staff was very helpful and a big thank you to the manager Hassant who went above and beyond to accommodate us on extending our stay here. It truly felt like home away from home. We will definitely recommend homewood suites garden grove to all our family and friends. Thanks, Ferdinand and Anita

Nice place to stay but had an issue with parking. I have an accessible plate and parking was 20 feet from the door..and I parked myself. Then got a 30$ a day valet parking bill on my final bill. She. I arrived the valet guy said I wouldn’t be charged…anyway I’m a Hilton honors member and have also let them know I won’t be staying at a Hilton brand any time soon. And I travel every weekend in the winter for sports. Oh well…

Booked a room for a family Disneyland vacation August 2022. At check in I was surprised when I was told there would be no cleaning service during our stay even if we ask. Their reason was 'for our safety and their staff safety.' In my opinion the owners have found a way to increase profit margin by minimizing the number of cleaning staff they hire yet continue to charge rates equivalent to a deluxe hotel. You can do better at a budget hotel or go to a deluxe for the same price and get cleaning service

I am writing this review as I sit down in one of their rooms. I chose this hotel while visiting relatives over the Holidays. The hotel definitely older but located in a prime location, next to lots of restaurants, shops, movie theater and grocery store. One of the big draw to this property was Free Parking as many hotels in this area charges a lot for parking; however prepare yourself to fight for the spot in the back of the building (especially at night as they only offer limited spaces. There are plenty parking spots in the front.) I opted out Housekeeping service during my stay due to COVID concern. Upon arrival, I noticed the housekeeping was just OK. There was residue left inside of the microwave tray, stains on the kitchen floor, bathroom had a strong smell of mildew. Breakfast option is minimal. They rotate offerings daily. It can get crowded so I chose to bring back to the room and consume. Biggest issue of this property is the noise! The noise travels quite a bit and I can hear every steps/jumps/wrestling happening right above us. It woke me up one evening as I heard loud thump above me. This was brought to staff's attention, but assuming not much they can do other than warn them to refrain from making loud noises. Outdoor noises also can be heard and I could smell one of our neighbors smoking **** although this is a Nonsmoking property. Overall, my stay met what I needed. I know how hard it is to find workers in the Hospitality industry nowadays, so I thank you for working during this unprecedented time.

Fabulous place to stay when visiting Disneyland nice and close we still used the ART bus system but you could walk. Randy was amazing we had some trouble with our reservations but he didn’t leave until we had it sorted out even though he had to stay late for us. The rest of the staff was also extremely helpful and kind. The Breakfast buffet saved us so much time in the morning we could just eat and leave.

Had a family member at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo and this is the closest hotel to the hospital. It's a solid choice for the area where there are a dearth of hotels, much less decent hotels. Had a suite which was spacious with bed, couch, desk with nice TV (which could swivel for watching from bed) and a bar area with a fridge. The bathroom was large. The bed was fine. I was on the first floor overlooking the back parking lot, but that was fine because I wasn't there for the view and the back parking lot seems little used, so there wasn't noise with people coming and going from the lot. I see that some have complained about overhead noise and advised a third floor room, but I didn't hear any noise from above -- perhaps the room above me was empty, however. Four points instead of five because the blackout curtains weren't perfect and let in some light around the edges of the curtains and I'm sensitive to light. Other hotels I have been staying at lately in Orange County do better on the blackout curtain front. Another demerit for the awful complimentary breakfast. No breakfast potatoes like most places which do complimentary breakfast and the pre-made scrambled eggs were just plain disgusting -- had some weird oily chemical taste. The blueberry muffin was also awful. There are no actual mugs for tea or coffee. Only these very flimsy paper cups where you have to carry the cup with a napkin because unlike Starbucks cups, for instance, the cups aren't thick enough so that it is not uncomfortable to carry a hot beverage with your bare hand. Even worse, the lids don't fit the cups properly so it's impossible to completely lid the cup if you are carrying the cup back to your room, as I did. Because the lid did not fit properly and I was juggling to open my door with my door key, I ended up spilling some hot liquid on myself. If I stayed at this hotel again, I would not have breakfast in the hotel. Order delivery from Uber Eats or go out to dine. Even an Egg McMuffin would have been better than this food. Be aware that on weekends the place seems overrun with ill-mannered children (many in sports uniforms -- so I surmised that they were being taken to tournaments in the area). The children crowded the breakfast buffet area and didn't realize that you are supposed to take your food and move on so others can, in turn, get in to take their food. The kids were also running through the halls. I would guess the hotel is more sedate during the week, at least during the school year.
