This was the second time I stayed at the Savoy! It's definitely my home in the hills!!! I simply love the old world charm of the property! Kartik at reception, the servers at the restaurant & the housekeeping staff, everyone goes out of their way to give you the best experience. Staying here was like stepping back in time. We stayed for 2 nights on our trip to Ooty. The hotel is from a bygone era , you really get an insight of this with all the photographs of the Royal Family when they stayed here back in the day. The property has got all its original features but is desperately in need of some love and attention to preserve it. We had no complaints about our room - large and airy , with a little sitting area and big bathroom. All the furniture was in keeping with period of the property. We found it to be very clean but because there is some dampness in the bathroom there are some marks on the ceiling. The food was very good , we had dinner one night and just a simple breakfast is as our choice, but there seemed to be a good choice for others. The few staff were very friendly and helpful. They were trying so hard to give good service but we could tell they were under a little pressure from other not so satisfied and demanding guests. I actually felt quite sorry for them. If you decide to stay here do not expect modern luxury of chain hotels and try to keep an open mind. We think you will probably forget some of the modern hotels you will stay in , but like us you will never forget your stay here ! I would say to the owners of this hotel you have great staff but you need to make some investment in your property before it’s too late. It could be an absolute gem and the star of Ooty.

Excellent Resort, away from the city rush. The rooms and Bathrooms are clean, Jaya ji at the reception was always helpful. Overall we had a 3 night pleasant stay, with a beautiful view.

We recently spent 3 wonderful days at Club Mahindra in Ooty, and it was a truly memorable experience. Facilities: The resort boasts excellent facilities, including a well-equipped activity center for both kids and adults. The indoor games, outdoor activities, and nature trails kept us entertained throughout our stay. The staff also organized fun cultural evenings that gave us a glimpse of the local traditions. Dining: The food at the in-house restaurant was fantastic, offering a variety of dishes to cater to every palate. The buffet spread was elaborate, with a mix of local specialties and international cuisines. The staff ensured that dietary preferences were taken care of, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. Service: The hospitality was top-notch. The staff was warm, courteous, and always ready to assist. From the reception to the housekeeping team, everyone made us feel at home. Location: The resort’s location is ideal, offering a peaceful ambiance away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s also conveniently located for visiting key attractions like the Botanical Gardens, Doddabetta Peak, and Ooty Lake. Overall: Our stay at Club Mahindra Ooty was rejuvenating and relaxing. It’s an excellent choice for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind in the lap of nature. We would highly recommend this resort and look forward to visiting again! Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

This was our second time staying here but not so pleasant this time Food was average And some of the staffs didn’t pay attention to the room issues like flash not working in morning ; requesting to have breakfast during waiting time ( which looked liked a good gesture coz breakfast time was almost over and why to waste food but later asking to pay ( which should had been informed priorly ) Common washroom area not cleaned
