Standard Japanese hotel that is within walking distance of the bike rental and ferry to start the Shimanami Kaido.
Did have a 4am fire alarm go off though and had to remain outside of the the hotel for about 30mins. Staff were apologetic upon check out.

The hotel front desk unfortunately assembled us into a room that recently has been disinfected and there was a heavy strong poison smell . Later on i communicated with the front desk and immediately they noticed the room was not suitable for people to stay and moved us to another room. The point is why didn’t they certify the room was safe or not to stay? I presume the front desk person who assembled the first room was not happy to have a foreigner customer .
The rooms facing the side have ver limited window view but the other ones facing the road have a beautiful view of the seashore.

Onomichi is really beautiful. The environment near the hotel is very good. There are many delicious foods nearby. The location is first-class. It is opposite the beach. It is convenient to go anywhere. There are also parking spaces.

The room is really small, basically just enough space for one person to walk. It is the smallest hotel in this trip to Takamatsu, but the transportation is still quite convenient. It is suitable for two people to stay in.

The hotel is in a good location right on the water.
The staff at the reception does not speak English and is not very helpful.
Our backpacks were not brought to the room as is the case in the rest of Japan.
We are used to a lot when it comes to traveling, but the breakfast here is only aimed at the Japanese and not the western tourist.

It's a little far from JR Onomichi Station. I walked there for more than ten minutes with my luggage. I could store my luggage. The room was small but well-equipped. It was quite comfortable for a solo traveler. The most surprising thing was that it included breakfast. The breakfast was very exquisite and the quantity was enough. It was a standard Japanese breakfast. It was worth the money. However, the heating is operated intensively and the frost is large, so it may be uncomfortable for those who are sensitive to noise.
