Absolutely fantastic hotel in every way. Great location, rooms, staff. Special mention to Nikola and Tommy who made our stay very special. Pool area lovely and accessible to the beach was great as well. Can't wait to return to stay again and will do very soon. Highly recommend.

My wife and I booked this hotel in 2019 with the intention of visiting in summer 2020. Due to the pandemic, the hotel kindly moved our booking several times and eventually to August 2023, once it was safe to travel. I have summarised the stay to make it easier to read but happy to answer any questions if a reader has more questions Positives - Beautiful location away from the main town and a beach walk (30 minutes) into Omis (nearest big town) - Fantastic service from all staff who all went out of their way to make our experience 5 star - Modern and quiet swimming pool, jacuzzi, wellness (pool, sauna etc) and dining area - Breakfast is fantastic. The staff bring you a menu with a range of options and you just choose whatever you want (all good quality) - Marijana (forgive me if I spelt this wrong) who works breakfast time in the restaurant is a credit to the hotel. Professional, efficient, friendly and thoughtful. She definitely made our stay that extra bit special and nothing was too much trouble (my eating regime can be a pain on holiday and she was super helpful). - Gym was fantastic for a hotel gym (albeit a little cramped but this was because there was so much good gym kit packed into the space) - Private beach for hotel guests only (please not there is a fee for hire of beds and/or cabana) - Local restaurants directly across from the hotel are a good standard and right on the beach Room for improvement - Cabana’s in the hotel are only free if you spend 500 kunas a day (£55) - The hotel is on the main road leading into Omis… This is a pretty fast road similar to a busy A road in the UK which can be daunting to cross (there are crossings but cars don’t always stop straight away). Best advice is to cross the road and then walked along the beach path into Omis and avoid the traffic (it’s also a lot prettier) - Hotel food is really expensive when you compare this to the local area. We are out most nights for £40 but the hotel at least double. - Seating on the suite terrace was really limited and looked out onto the car park. It important to reinforce that this hotel is pretty fantastic despite there being a few minor areas that need a tweak. The staff make this hotel extra special…. From the cleaners, night porter, reception and restaurant staff. They are all exceptionally helpful, polite and professional which made a for a great experience. We are seasoned travellers and my wife works for a large meetings and events company so we have seen a lot of hotels and spaces. We have stayed in many boutique hotels and this is up there with the best of them. Well done 👏

The most amazing hotel I ever visited! Everything exudes sophistication and luxury. Bed is very comfortable, pool is amazing. Hotel is not so big, so its not crowded on the breakfast or at the pool, which for me can be really irritating! Very professional and kind staff, especially girls and one man at the desk that made me welcome surprise. Beach is private with comfortable sunbeds with baldacchinos (free of charge for guests). Kindly recommend!

First and foremost one has to say how polite, helpful and charming the staff are at this hotel. It is only a pity the rest is not as good. Travelling with a friend we drew lots as to who would take which room, 1st or 3rd floor, with a view for both facing a solid rock and the hotel garage (for which, if you have a car, you are expected to pay 25 Euros a day!) not even in France do they charge that. The 3rd floor bedroom was done up like a nightclub, black and gold. The 1st floor one was at least white with glittery mosaic walls in the bathroom. Kitch in both cases. The size of the rooms was good as was the balcony if you were happy to stare at the netted rock face of the mountain! The 2 enormous sliding wardrobe doors were the most irritating feature of the rooms. Each time you wanted to use the bathroom you had to slide one of these doors to one side and when you wanted anything from the side where your drawers were or the safe, you had to slide them the other way. Muscles required. I object to having musak filtering from a speaker in the ceiling above the bed. I mentioned this at reception who seemed surprised as they didn't seem to be aware of this! A kettle was provided with sachets of indifferent tea (no English Breakfast tea - I take my own luckily) and coffee was in ***** form as you would get in a cheap motel or lesser hotel. Not what you would expect from what calls itself 5*s. There was no milk ever given, so I took my fresh milk from the breakfast/dining room. A bottle of water was provided at the start of your stay and that was it. You were expected to buy your own thereafter. Having stayed in a REAL 5* for 4 nights in Split, 2 water bottles were given daily in your room. The continental breakfast let's call it that, was disappointing. Dried up cheese and ham sitting in the fridge, but if you chose the cooked option, this at least was ok. The best part of the hotel was the pool, but not the somewhat ridiculous and not very comfortable loungers. We had been led to believe it was an Adults Only hotel but that was not the case as it turned out as there were children, well behaved thank goodness. This is a hotel with pretensions and not to everyone's taste sadly, but Omis is a delightful town with some very nice places to eat round and about and well worth visiting but pick somewhere else to stay.

The hotel was amazing! Rooms clean and spacious. Location was right on the beach where cabanas awaited for those taking a dip in the incredible Adriatic Sea. The hotel food was spectacular, down to the warm croissants and fresh bread, incredible feta cheese, caprese eggs benedict, fish plate, crispy French fries, pasta, etc. Each food ordered from their menu was delicious and perfect. One thing I appreciated above all else was the staff, everyone was courteous and super helpful. Special shout out to Marijana and Antonela. Both women were delightful, attentive, funny and sweet. They knew how to make our trip extra special, recommending places to visit, local drinks to try, and restaurants in downtown Split to try out. This was my first time to Croaita, I'll definitely be coming back and staying at the Damianii again!

Very spacious and luxurious rooms. The jacuzzi was not necessary for us. Huge balcony and sea view. Breakfast is also luxurious and made to order, so it is not a buffet. The choice is not very wide, but the quality is good. Very friendly staff. Without asking, we were upgraded. A bit outside the village at a distance. The hotel is small so you don't stay for dinner because then you are alone. But otherwise absolutely fine!

First of all, the good news: the reception was very warm and the front desk staff do an excellent job. Thank you very much for that. The hotel is generally a bit dated. The rooms and suites are furnished to a high standard, but still have the look of the past. We had booked a suite with a sea view, but the sea is barely visible due to the beautiful palm trees by the pool. The minibar is well stocked, but the prices are unacceptable. The same goes for the restaurant and the pool bar. Cocktail prices range between €20 and €38. That even exceeds the prices of luxury hotels in northern European metropolises, which truly meet a 5-star standard. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant. The menu promises fine dining, but the implementation fails completely. We ordered fish for lunch, it was supposed to be 200g fish fillet, but on the plate there was no more than 120g with a dollop of sauce. The fish was well-done and dry. And all for a price of €40 - without a side dish! We ordered 2 side dishes, but one of them didn't arrive until we had finished eating. We should also add that we were the only guests in the restaurant at that time. The grilled vegetables that had been forgotten were partly burnt and consisted only of broccoli and fermented something. We just left them there. There is absolutely nothing for the children. A hotel that claims to have 5 stars should be able to offer a kids' menu with at least 2 dishes. This does not detract from the supposed gourmet cuisine. The service was very courteous and brought 3 desserts as an apology. The breakfast buffet is rather modest, but there are options to order food. Poached eggs were cooked through, as were Eggs Benedict. The pool area with the canopies is very nice, but again not 5s standard. The curtain on the changing room is broken or has been removed, so there is no place to change. The door to the ladies' toilet was broken. There are prohibitions posted on the cabanas, which we completely overlooked. We had drinks by the pool. When no one came for over 2 hours, I was thirsty and unsuspecting and took a water bottle out of my bag. The waitress came promptly and the first thing the gentleman did was to point out to me in a bold manner that this was strictly forbidden and that I had to put the wrong one away immediately. We were a little shocked and looked at each other in amazement. I told the waitress that no one had come for over 2 hours, but there was no answer. We then ordered more drinks and food, the salad from the menu was not available, so we had a spinach dish. However, it was so salty that we had to leave it. Here too, this is not how it works in a 5s hotel. It's a shame. The hotel has potential but some work needs to be done properly in some areas. Conclusion
