Hotel with great location, next to Lake and ferry terminal. During checkin the receptions took IDs and told to come later to get them back which is unacceptable. Also no information on additional access to pool, had to ask myself after finding on the hotel website. Lot of bars and restaurants even in the same building. Tasty breakfasts, the best crossaints I had in Stresa. The downside is also poor maintenance of rooms, slow WiFi, AC control panel was very old and simply AC wasn't working. Bed very soft which is uncomfortable and unhealthy. If the price is attractive I would stay again but the standard is similar to 2 star hotels nearby.

The dining environment for breakfast is great. The location is right next to the airport bus station. It is very convenient. It faces the lake and has a good view. The hotel staff are very kind and have a good service attitude.

Structure located in a central position, on the lakefront, but at the same time in a private environment.
Impeccable service, attentive and kind attendants, staff always ready to resolve any problems and ensure a pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel - great food - professional and friendly service. Some might say dated. I say more art nouveau. This is a traditional hotel with traditional service values. We stayed half board and it was well worth it. The menu had varied options each day where every taste was catered for. Particular praise goes to Raffa who’s photo can be seen on the hotel website and also Alona for making our stay magical - Steve Poole

A bit of a Fawlty Towers feel to this hotel but not in a good way! Caters mainly for tour groups. The dining experience was quite bad tempered and chaotic. We were only allowed to sit at certain tables until the last day when our designated tables had been given to the next tour group and we were unceremoniously moved mid breakfast and had nowhere to sit…. Food very average for Italy and breakfast buffet poor. It seems to be all about getting the numbers through and not the customer. On the positive - the location is great and the room was exceptionally clean. If you are travelling independently there are much better hotels in Stresa.

Unfortunately on arrival a smell of drains, reported to management. This was quickly acted upon with copious amounts of cleaner. However after a few days still not quite a complete cure. After three days there was brown coloured water coming into the shower/bath/ basin /toilet and bidet. Again reported to management who again acted promptly to look into. I was told it was fixed however on inspection bath still covered in remnants from the incident and not cleaned. Again reported to management who said that they thought it was just a problem of waste water from the basin, apologies, and bath cleaned. However, brown water still coming from all sources depending on tap settings at times. Not certain what the plumbing issues are but Room 510 of the Speranza best avoided

Charming , classical elegance, brought to 21st century . Comfortable large beds, fully adjustable air con rooms. Flawless service, throughout . Felt totally spoilt at dinnertime,thank you! We had a fantastic time , we loved staying with you and loved Stress!

Firstly Stresa is beautiful town and I would definitely go back there without a doubt. I however probably wouldn't got back to the the Hotel Milan Speranzo. The hotel was fairly expensive and the rooms were extremely dated along with the communal areas and restaurant also. The hotel was clean and maintained but it was literally like going back to the mid 80s. I expected more for what we paid if I'm honest.
