Fairfield Inn & Suites Omaha West

Our room smelled terribly of mildew or mold. I woke up sick. We only had one garbage can in the bathroom and no Kleenex. When I went downstairs to get blankets and sheets for the pull out bed she gave me a too small size.

Houstonians We were there for family reunion. The hostess was friendly. Check in was without any issues. Breakfast could use some upgrade. Maybe add scramble eggs on weekend.

Front desk staff needs more training I had prepaid for my room and was charged the night before. Upon check-in, the host told me it was his first day. He asked for my credit card so I thought he was verifying my identity. He asked me to swipe my card for incidentals which I did but I had to swipe it twice and he charged me for the room again—even though I was prepaid. Since I was using a debit card, I received a bank notification that here were two charges on my card. Again, I said I had paid for the room and showed him the confirmation and the receipt. It was at this point he told me it was his first day and he’d get the manager. They claim to have removed the charges but it’s not off of my card as of this morning and I was told today it would be 3-5 days before there would be a refund. I don’t believe a person should be running the front desk on their first day with little to no training. It’s an inconvenience to have been charged twice for this room. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the parking area was well lit and safe. I just wish I wasn’t left on the hook for these charges.

We loved our room and the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. We were disappointed in the breakfast. They did not serve waffles as we were told they only served them on the weekend. The other food was not very warm, the bacon, sausages and omelets. I had to ask for a cinnamon roll twice before she finally brought out two for us.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times for Omaha family gatherings. This will likely be our last as service, room quality and overall experience has dramatically declined. The electric outlet in the bath was not functional, the bedding wreaked of body odor, the shower curtain contained long black hair (which none of my party had), the coffee packets in the room were only decaf, and the front desk was rarely manned by a person. Overall, this hotel has become VERY undesirable, and not at all a worthy value.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast didn't have enough options for me.
