We stayed at Kronio Hotel during our visit to Olympia. The location is perfect, just a ten-minute walk to the museum and to the archeological site. We came during low season, so there were not many guests. The place is a little older, but good enough. The owner was very kind when he showed us to our room. He prepared a very nice breakfast for us in the morning. We enjoyed out stay and the kind hospitality extended by our host.
Going late in the morning and rushing overnight, there is not much impression. There was no electric kettle in the room, and the uncle in the lobby bar enthusiastically used the coffee machine to fill me with several pots. The hotel is a bit old, and the air conditioner is a radiator-like device placed next to a desk near the desk.
This is a reasonable 4 star hotel. Our room was an OK size with a couple of stairs going down to a small sitting area and the balcony. Unfortunately once we put a suitcase on the luggage rack at the bottom of the bed it made it a bit tight walking around the bed. The room had a view overlooking the swimming pool. There was a small pull-out clothes line on the balcony which we really appreciated. The bathroom was a reasonable size although there was a bath with a shower over it rather than a walk in shower. The hotel is up a hill and the distance to the town is not very far. However, it is a very steep hill. We walked down very carefully and caught a taxi back which only costs us 5€. There is free parking at the hotel. There was quite a range of food available for breakfast. On the second morning of our stay there was someone cooking omelettes to order which was great. On check-out the receptionist told us there was a charge for mini-bar items we had consumed. We told her that we had not consumed anything. She quickly said “sorry, my mistake”. She did not check anything and we were left with the feeling that this had been a “try on”. Regardless, it would seem that this is something that the receptionist should check before advising customers of an additional charge because last impressions count. Without this incident I would have rated the hotel as very good rather than average.
Stay for one night after visiting the archaeological site of Olimpia, very vintage hotel, family-run, the owner, who also spoke well the Italian, is a very kind and available person, who loves his work and his house! The room was at the first floor, there was no lift but it was so kind to bring my baggage up and down! A comfortable room, quite spacious as the bathroom, without window but with a functioning windscreen. A beautiful balcony with tables and chairs. The only new thing was that he looked very noisy on the road, so at any time. The hotel has a comfortable parking front of the hotel. Super breakfast with soda eggs, bread, marmalades, honey, bricks and cake, Greek yoghurt and a very good orange swallow prepared at the moment. Excellent quality price ratio. The hotel is 30 km from the port of Killini, where we took the ferry the morning afterwards.

Archaeological Site of Olympia
CCaptain Lee666I think the knowledge here is very impressive.
Olympia
檀檀Z游This is a holy place in ancient Greece. The earliest relics began in 2000 BC and 1600 BC. Religious buildings began about 1,000 BC. From the 8th to the end of the 4th century BC, it is famous for hosting sports festivals to the main god of Zeus and is the birthplace of the Olympic Games. In this ancient land, it is really amazing to feel the pavilion runway and blessing platform of people nearly 4,000 years ago. Hermes can be regarded as the world's top cultural relics, the treasure of the town hall, but here itself is a big baby
Historical Museum of The Olympic Games
MM32***23We didn't have to wait too long, especially the teenage daughter who is not a big fan of museums, but the tour was great and everyone enjoyed it. Modern, interactive, technological museum, it doesn't get boring. If you don't have time to go inside the museum, at least stroll through the front garden, which is full of sculptures reminiscent of games and sports.
Archimedes Museum
MM32***23[View] A gorgeous mansion with garden. It has a collection of unparalleled in the world. [Fun] Clean and perfect. In short, great. Visit it.
