On arrival we were told we had not been allocated a wheelchair accessible room, despite many emails and requests being made for this. Eventually we were told the toilet had broken in our accessible room and they would fix this first thing the next day. They followed through with this promise and we were moved to a wheelchair accessible room just below our friends, as requested on our 2nd day. The rest of the holiday went without a hitch until my son picked up a bacterial infection. He was admitted to hospital for 2 days. I had to extend our holiday by a further 2 nights to ensure my son was fit to fly home. The hotel was outstanding in supporting us through this situation. Guest relations, particularly Batikan, were extremely kind, attended hospital with me, and looked after my other children in resort impeccably whilst I was in hospital with my son. They went above and beyond to make sure my family had everything we needed including soya milk, and the dietary restrictions the hospital advised for my son, were quickly accommodated. Guest relations use whatsapp to communicate with guests, which I found extremely helpful. Knowing I could contact them at all times was super reassuring. Over all I had been concerned about the new staff and management take over, so when we had an issue with our room on the first night I was a little apprehensive. However, I can safely say the changes to this hotel have been a successful upgrade in my experience. The food choices and quality of the food and drinks were outstanding. None of us went hungry at all. The free ice cream is available all day in the snack bar and also in the restaurant during meal times. The new snack bar is a thousand times better than the previous food served there, offering toasties, wraps burgers etc. Wifi issues have been resolved - we didn't have any problems there. Entertainment staff were appropriately involved - very approachable friendly and consistently fun, never over bearing or too loud like some other resorts. The evening entertainment was excellent. The pool parties and the shows were executed very well. The general manager was casual, hands on and very approachable around the resort. Restaurant staff could be a little avoidant, sometimes never to be seen which could be frustrating when needing to order drinks to your table, but when they were present they were attentive and helpful. Lots of mosquitos in this hotel (or maybe just our room). We bought all the mosquito sprays and creams from the hotel shop, but that didn't stop me getting bitten so the hotel provided a mosquito plug for our room which seemed to help a little. We were missing one curtain in our main window, and being on the ground floor by the pool this would have been an issue, had I not placed a sheet over the window to seal our privacy. I think the curtain issue might be something they are trying to rectify across the whole of the hotel as there was an option to request "curtain material" in the
