We visit the restaurant every year while skiing . The food is amazing and the service is great. They offer good Swiss Fondu and other well served meals. Very kids friendly. Very accessible to the skiers from the Bretaye slops. We recommend it very much

It’s interesting that the reviews are very mixed. We have just returned from Villars - stayed at Chalet RoyAlp. We went to Hotel du Lac for lunch daily and it was great. Brilliant location. Buzzing, popular, great service and food was delicious. Recommend booking to ensure a table inside. Would definitely recommend it (cant speak about the hotel side).

Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic staff, cannot recommend enough! The menu offers great choice and the food was some of the best we have had on the mountain. The “ Fallen Apple” cider was very welcome after a day on the slopes!

We booked the double plus room which is as the size of a postage stamp. Rather than stay in such a dump, we returned home. That tells you something. The woman who checked us in was not wearing a mask, in violation of Swiss rules, the lounge was crammed with furnitures and dusty fake flowers, and there were many tables of dirty dishes in the restaurant. Clearly they are understaffed.

Perfect place for drinks or food. When the weather is tough on the piste take a load off and enjoy the food, ambience and great staff of this hotel. We came in for hot chocolate and stayed for burgers, chips and beers whilst the winds howled and the snow fell. Then enjoyed the skiing once we were well fed and rested.

Restaurant review: Highway robbery. Zero ambience. Check out my photo. These previously frozen not-made-in-house cheese balls were 4 Swiss francs each! Moreover they include a menu on their website whose prices are 25% less. Avoid this place whatever you do.

Skiing the slopes of Breteye and stopping for lunch at the Hotel du Lac is a must for me. The food is amazing. The service friendly and the location perfect between the lifts. There are outdoor and indoor dining options depending on weather and preference. Perfect spot have a delicious lunch and then hop back onto your skis. Also only a short walk from the train if you are just up the mountain for a stroll.

Journée à ski en famille, l’Accueil fut nul. Le Personnel ne parle français et se roule des cigarette au lieu de s’occuper des client. Les Prix sont surfait et le service n’est pas terrible…. La Nourriture est correct mais sans plus.. Je ne recommande pas le restaurant, il y a de meilleurs endroit proche de celui-ci.

16,-CHF pour 2 petites (à préciser) tasses de renversé au lait d’avoine (supplément de 2,-CHF/tasse juste pour le lait d’avoine…), j’appelle cela du vol! Aucune excuse de monter les victuailles, etc, c’est et cela restera de l’arnaque….
