Luxury experience with fantastic service and so much to do! We enjoyed the shuttle service with easy access through an app. Unrivaled views, great dining and thoughtful seasonal activities. I'll visit again and again. Good for couples or the whole family.

My wife and I booked a Valley View King w/ Kitchenette room for a mid-week getaway. This room is shown on the diagram with two separate bedrooms and a separate kitchenette, along with a sofa bed. See the diagram and picture of the room from their website. My wife called the day after we booked the room to clarify some information about the kitchenette. While she was on the phone with Kathy she asked about the two separate bedrooms. Kathy said she was pretty sure that the room only came with one separate bedroom (not two bedrooms), and didn’t know about the sofa bed. She forwarded the call to Latisha, who confirmed the room had one separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the room with the kitchenette (two separate rooms). Upon check-in we found out that the diagram and picture on their website associated with this room is COMPLETELY WRONG. This is all one tiny room (12’ x 12’). See the picture we took of the room. It’s easier to describe what the room DOESN'T have that’s shown in the website picture. There is NO second table and chairs, there is NO desk, there is NO separate bedroom, the “kitchenette” is right next to the bed, and there is NO sofa (at all!). This was the smallest hotel room we’ve ever seen. Upon check-out we told the person at the reservation desk our issues, who didn’t seem at all interested in the fact that their website information is completely wrong, and didn’t offer even so much as an apology. After filling out their survey, my wife receives a phone call from customer service admitting all the information is wrong and offering a small discount on our NEXT visit. The room we booked wasn’t worth 1/4 of the price we were charged, and any discount wouldn't convince us to book another closet like they gave us. Buyer beware. Nothing they say or show on their website is true, and they'll lie on the phone if you ask them about room specifics.

First, let me say that my family has always loved Big Cedar, and we will probably try again in the less busy months. That being said, there is a major issue with the staff and the Christmas experience we were trying to give our kids. If you have small kids, you could likely shield them from this negative atmosphere, but this trip was very different than years past. We were greatly considering becoming members with Blue Green and I'm so glad we declined until things get better. There were great moments, but again, this year was just odd. The cabin we stayed in was dirty. The staff at both eateries seemed miserable and tired of people. At Fun Mountain, an on-site arcade, we had a spectacular time. My 3yo and I got beer spilled on us because a man wanted to stumble over my 7yo, likely drunk. While cleaning up my toddler, a worker remarked "Can you move. I'm waiting on you." Trying to finish off with a bang, we waited in line so my two older children could play laser tag. The attendant let a group of 10 adults cut us and fill up the arena, telling us we have to wait another 15 minutes. I tried to get our money back but all sales are final. My phone had poor signal, so I couldn't use our app to call a shuttle. The staff also said they couldn't call one for us. We walked back, finally making it to the main buildings (there are no walk-paths from Fun Mountain). Big Cedar has been our Christmas vacation for the past few years, and I think we will try somewhere new in 2025.

Perfect stay for us in Falls View Lodge. Check in was smooth with front desk people very professional and helpful. Christmas time at Big Cedar is amazing with all the lights. We took the tram tour and it was great, Housekeeping was there every morning to check on our needs. The price for staying is what it is no surprise. Thanks Big Cedar for another great time during the Christmas season

This trip was pretty disappointing. We booked in July for the “Christmas in July” special. The “special” price was $750/night. However, looking at the prices while we were staying here, they are $600/night. We called to see if we could get the current rates and were told no, sorry, you agreed to the rates you paid. We love Big Cedar and look forward to coming 2 or 3 times a year. It is getting pretty ridiculous on the prices and lack of quality. Even a K Cup in the Shoppe is $3 now. Prices have doubled and tripled to stay. Housekeeping only comes upon request, even if you put your sign out saying you’d like housekeeping. Truman’s is a completely different shop than it was a few years ago. Food and coffee quality not half as good as it was. The girls at the front desk stand around and talk instead of paying attention to the guests at guests services. We had to go ask them to help us each time we came to play pickleball and shuffleboard. It seems like it’s totally commercialized compared to what it used to be and it’s so disheartening. Make sure you don’t book any “specials” because they are just a tricky way to take your money. Sad to be swindled by a place that is clearly making tons of money each day.

Love Big Cedar. Have been going here for 10 years - This review is solely for the ICE SKATING on the premises. Awful and almost borders on dangerous. It's plastic (ice) and you pay quite a bit for the skates. Many of the walkers that help the kids balance were broken. I'm just surprised Big Cedar hasn't come up with something better. They are top notch in everything else. Sorry I couldn't find where to leave this review specific to ICE SKATING

We were excited about purchasing the Sample Timeshare Package over the summer and this was our first time staying overnight (2 nights). We had to attend the learning session and experience another timeshare owner pitch. After that we can use our Sample Package without attending another timeshare pitch. It was our 27 Anniversary so we made reservations four months in advance. We got room 2722A Lodge Mill. Room: 1 BR Lodge: Quiet, nice size room, large his and hers bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub (yellowing), kitchenette nice size and came with all the cookware and silverware. Dishwasher, safe, washer & dryer. Two large screen tv’s. Large balcony with table and chairs. Nice view. Gas fireplace that only worked a few times. 😩 large fridge and freezer. Coffee maker. Comes with some basic cleaning products. The bad: The oven bottom door was missing! 😳 The room was definitely showing its age. This upset us bc we expected a nicer place to stay since Timeshare owners have maintenance fees they pay to help pay for up keep. Obviously it’s not getting done with all the rooms. That’s why we don’t buy into ownership at the moment. The fireplace worked two times the first night then it quit. We used the well wore out pans for cooking. We wanted to so much to have good things to say about this place because we are so in love with Bass Pro and all the beautiful resorts/lodges in this area. That’s why we bought the Timeshare Sampler. Lots of activities to do but you have to pay for them and make reservations. Make them at least two weeks in advance. We cooked in the room to save money so we didn’t get to experience the restaurants but did get to go on walks and shop. All the night lights were beautiful! Many employers are nice. Warning: Timeshare presentations are shark tanks! I can’t lie, these salespeople are incredible at trying to sell. Make sure to get receipts when you check out to make sure it’s all good BEFORE you leave. Download the Cedar Lodge app and Shuttle app while you’re there. Very helpful! We are really hopeful our next stay is better. It is a nice place and beautiful area. Loved the aromatic-therapy shampoo, lotion and soaps! Room was very clean. Felt safe here.

The lady at the gate was rude. The gentleman that helped us was pleasant and helpful. The trail was not well marked. The path was to narrow for 2 way traffic. Not worth the money. Would not recommend this to others. Was very disappointed with our experience.
