Almocei domingo com um grupo no Restaurante Samburá, que fica no hotel de mesmo nome. A história é original, pois ouvi lá do próprio dono, um senhor de 91 anos que estava no almoço. Ele me contou que fundou o Restaurante Samburá em 1 de janeiro de 1910, à beira-mar em Olinda, quando não havia nada em volta. Em seguida, a área em torno foi loteada e ele vendeu centenas de lotes, que deram origem ao atual bairro. Na década de 80, o Samburá foi transferido para o outro lado da avenida, saindo da areia da praia, e construindo um hotel em cima do atual restaurante. Então, o Samburá não é um restaurante num hotel, e, ao contrário, é um restaurante que tem um hotel em cima. A cozinha é deliciosa, com pratos da culinária do Nordeste, em estilo self-service nos fins de semana.
