Best Olhos de Agua Spa Hotels

Le domaine est vraiment très très beau, la chambre est vieillotte en plus la ménage est à revoir l’odeur d’humidité, et les draps humide c’est pas top, nous sommes arrivé il y avait de la nourriture dans notre frigo nous avons signalé et on nous a répondu que c’est à la dame de ménage elle pensait pas qu’il y avait du monde , donc aucun Check avant l’arrivé. L’emplacement au top !

Super holiday! We have just spent 10days on half board here at the Porto bay Falesia. We had a fantastic time. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, bending over backwards to make the experience all the more pleasurable. We stayed in a sea view room on the 3rd floor and it was amazing! Great size room with lovely bathroom and rituals products. Cleaning staff were so lovely and kept our room spruced up throughout our stay. The food was really good. The selection was so good, always something for everyone, I prefer fish and my husband prefers meat and neither were disappointed. We also had a meal at il basilica which was great. We spent most of the week relaxing by the pool or on the beach and walking. The pool area is perfect for reading a book, plenty of loungers. The beach is accessed by around 120 steps which we loved but I can see they may be an issue if not so mobile or able. The beach is incredible! We walked to vila moura which took around 2 hours, had lunch and walked back. There was also a lovely walk along the cliff top in the other direction going via the town of olhos de agua. This walk was spectacular! It takes you all the way to Maria Luisa beach via a restaurant on the beach called passaro azul ( definitely worth a visit). We spent a morning at the indoor pool, sauna and steam room which was nice as it was raining outside. My husband also used the gym which was adequate. The town is sweet with a selection of restaurants and shops plus a small supermarket for supplies! All in all we had a fantastic 10days and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great holiday!

Grounds with lots of pine trees, just nice to go for a walk, very good fitness classes, not busy (at least during our visit) , a good selection of restaurants on and off the grounds. I did not like the aquarium style bathroom and shower, no privacy, also lit up all room if used at night. But the room we stayed was large and well looked after. We used a tennis court daily, just next to our room. There was no kids club during our out of season stay, but our daughter was allowed to fitness classes with us and she really enjoyed it. On site restaurants are very good but a bit on expensive side, however there are few outside just 2 minutes n walk. The staff is always happy to help.

I loved everything about this hotel. The grounds were immaculate. The staff was polite and went out of their way to ensure every detail was taken care of. I loved our ocean-view room and that beautiful boardwalk down to the beach. I can't wait to come back!

Very recommended to stay, cost-effective, the environment is very good. Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. The design of the room's small pendulum is also very distinctive. Next time, check in.

Excellent resort if you take it for what it is. I have stayed in the Pine Cliffs resort 7 times now since 2016 (4 times in the Gardens). I have loved every vacation there. I have read many good and bad reviews about the resort, and I can see both sides. It’s a beautiful resort, the gardens, pool areas are kept immaculate. From the Pine Tree gardens on the top of the cliffs to the pools to the beach area, it offers plenty of variety. There are plenty of pools are very rarely did I ever feel it was too busy. I always felt everyone has plenty of space. The accommodation is superb, the hotel offers more a traditional flavor where the ocean suites and garden suites are more modern. if you have a family and don’t want the chaos of breakfast then I recommend looking at the garden suites or the ocean suites they have a nice little kitchen where you can get your own breakfast without a lot of the fuss that comes with breakfast at the hotel. Food at the resort is good albeit a little overpriced for what you get. There are plenty of Restaurants to choose from. Mirado is a must for a few drinks (and nibbles) on an evening, gorgeous views as the sun goes down. If you’re only eating at the hotel though you’re missing out. Over the road from the resort there are some cheap and cheerful eateries and a nice bar. Olhos de agua is a 15 min walk (5 min drive) and has some lovely restaurants. Then 1520 mins each way you have Vilamoura or Albufeira. We always hire a car, and it adds so much more to the holiday been able to visit a different place each night or having a day trip out. The only negatives I have found are the following, but they have never spoilt my holiday and are minor inconveniences. Also in Aug 2024 I thought service was much improved over previous years. Zest is much improved and staff far more helpful. 1 - Pools are not heated - once you in through your fine and not much of an issue Julyaugust 2 - Staff - most complaints about the resort come down to this one. It doesn’t really bother me much, and rarely have I witnessed it, but this is my take on it 2a - Some staff are helpful; some are a little less so and you feel your more of a pest than a guest (check in) ** - if you get the attention of a staff member say at a restaurant and ask for something and it’s not there set task, it’s as if you have asked for the world, you can almost see the misery in their eyes. at times I felt bad and almost said its ok its ok ill just not spend my money I don’t want to trouble you. - Update Aug 24 - Many improvements made here A+ 2c - staff in some areas seem that they have just been put there and they have no clue what they are doing there. i.e., zest. 3 - Towel cards - When you check in you get a card for each guest. This is a pain and towel cards end up been the underground currency at this resort. Pros: 1. Location - beautiful beach 2. Resort has a lot of potential. 3. great views and service and food at Mare. Cons: 1. No step free access around the hotel. This made it very difficult to get around with a pushchair. 2. Long waits for the shuttle service around the hotel. Up to 15mins each time which is difficult with young children. 3. Lack of customer service. We had to call several times for any request. I.e i requested a shower cap 3 times before it finally came to my room. 4. Cockroaches in the room. Whilst we understand its part of nature its not acceptable in a 5 start resort. We were told pest control would come to our room whist we are at the beach. This was not the case. They came on the penultimate night in the evening whist my kids were asleep. We could not let them in at that time. 5. There seems to be a lack for communication around the hotel and and with the restaurants. We tried to book a restaurant several times only to receive a response from concierge the day after our booking request. After we sorted out the reservation ourselves. 7. Breakfast was average, quality of food needs to be looked at. At the residential there was massive queues at the omelette station with only one chef This hotel has a lot of protentional but the address issues need to be resolved first.
