Had a pleasant stay staff are super friendly and helpful.good size sun terraces .
Quite a lot of steps .
Close to oura and olhos da agua where things are more lively.
Good transport links buses taxi's.. tuc tuc was good fun .

Dreadful condition hotel , in need of extensive renovation , re wiring and repairs. I genuinely believe it’s down for demolition as there is so much wrong with this building , it has been allowed to deteriorate to a terrible state .The lifts don’t work and we are on the fourth floor ! The studios are barely fit for purpose the decor is old and crumbling, furniture is old and tired , half the electric sockets don’t work (and look dangerous) neither do the most of the light fittings or the kettle . The microwave is tiny and so low powered it’s barely usable. Apart from the out door pool which looks ok the hotel has none of the amenities we were told in the booking agent’s description ie luxurious studio apartment, indoor pool , gym , on site restaurant, shop , bar and bike hire . The only redeeming feature of this dilapidated relic of a hotel is the receptionist and cleaning staff who are cheerfully doing their best in the face of insurmountable odds.

Not 5🌟 but the studio apartment I had,had everything(aircon,kitchen, balcony)Clean and tidy ,get new towels everyday ,staff is very helpful.Best part was the pool and bar . Antonio is lovely and the cocktails are amazing 😍 From Jennifer Joyce and her friends❤️

I would like to put a major complaint in regarding Cheerfulway Acqua Maris Balaia Portugal. On our second night of our stay, in which there was a heavy rain storm, a leak occurred in the cracked ceiling and was leaking from the ceiling for the remainder of our holiday on the beds which we slept on. We had to put pots and pans down on our bed to catch the water. I reported this issue multiple times to the reception staff within the hotel only to be told that the maintenance staff were not available and to be provided with towels to be put down in the soaking wet room. My holiday was ruined as I was sleeping on a damp bed with mouldy water leaking into the room which since returning home had caused me a chest infection.

This is the most disgusting establishment we have ever set foot in. Not worthy of any star rating. Arrived Tuesday lunchtime for 7 nights. Got the first available and affordable flight home Thursday lunchtime. It was a pleasure to arrive home, have a shower and a decent night's sleep....something we were unable to do in the previous 48 hours. Struggled to even have a wash in the basin as the plug was so rotten it didn't allow the sink to retain water. Have been to Albufeira many times so this has been a shock to the system that such a dreadful place is able to continue trading.

This hotel is disgusting and should be shut down Didn’t even stay the night , the smell of damp was horrendous it greets you as soon as you walk through the door. Dated disgusting decor greeted us our door didn’t lock properly, neither did our patio door. Lift wasn’t working hallways stinking dingy and smelling of damp. Mold on curtains and bedding Patio stinking and table looked like it had never seen soap or water Kitchen awful , ceiling falling down, cupboards screwed together honestly I have never seen anything like it. I couldn’t stay there we had to fork out extra and get somewhere else to stay Stay clear of this hotel !!

I going to admit I was really worried about staying here but we’ve just come back from 4 nights was very surprised. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - our room though it was dated was very clean, we also had housekeeping come everyday. The pool area was a great size. Plenty of beds, in decent condition. A couple were broken but the majority were good. The pool bar was reasonably priced and the food was good. Good service from staff. Our door locked and the hotel was in ok condition. From what I can tell they are merging two hotels together and are in process of doing the rooms/hotels up. Disliked · Down side our air con didn’t work - they did provide us with a fan however it was that hot it didn’t do very much. We struggled to get towels but we did get some. We just had to collect from reception in the evening. There was a couple of tiles on the balcony that was broken.

Cracking hotel ideal gaff no need to worry about the stains. Think the stag group need to stop being melts and man up. Tidy job. Tell the boys stop googling don’t listen to all the Karen’s in the world. Be plenty more moist patches by the time we are finished.
