I was here for about a week in mid July and was very please with my stay. This was also my first stay in Europe. I liked everything about the room. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the heavy duvet was nice. After coming back from a long day, I was very happy to see there was a second pillow that was brought in. This was my first experience with "tilt and turn" windows as well. Any future home I build will have those installed. We slept with the window open and it felt amazing. As a Texan, a cold room is a must. The bathroom was very nice as well. The water pressure and temperature was very nice. The restaurant was amazing. Breakfast was quite the experience being from the US, and it was very good; breads, butter, smalec, herring, cold cuts, eggs, cheeses, sausages, fresh produce, all excellent. The granola cereal with dehydrated strawberries and cranberries was my favorite way to finish the morning meal. As good as breakfast was, it paled in comparison to dinner. A couple of my friends and I would each order a different meal and rotate our plates to each other to experience more. My personal favorite was the pork tenderloin medallions with chanterelle sauce and potato pancakes. We also started each meal by sharing various items like Flaczki, Żurek, Pierogi, or Carpaccio. When I say there wasn't a single disappointment, I'm serious. The potatoes with cabbage that comes with the pork knuckle was amazing. I've talked about the rooms and food, but let's not forget about the people running this establishment. The hospitality was second to none. Everyone was more than accommodating, especially at dinner when they were dealing directly with about 18 people all at once. The staff never missed a beat and it was all done with excellence, smiles, and laughs. I also have to give a shout out to the lady we saw early every morning handling breakfast and making sure we had plenty of ice and water before we left for our daily work. My understanding is she also took care of the rooms every day, and took care of laundry for several of our people. Thank you for a great first experience in Poland and I look forward to future stays.
