Some of my family members stayed here a couple of years ago (it was called “The Carolina Motel”). They loved it then but the place was dated and needed a redo. The place now is called “The Voyager”. The hotel has had a complete renovation from top to bottom…..even pool! I stayed here with my family the last week of June 2025 into July. Superb location, quaint little courtyard, rooms with partial views and full views of the ocean. Rooms have been completely renovated floor to ceiling. Comfy beds and fluffy towels, new walls and flooring. Norissa (the property manager) is so accommodating and so nice! Everyone we met here has been so friendly! The beach is beautiful, summers here are superb! Warm summer days with no humidity! Right next door is pirates patio & Galley, great for a beer, fruity drink or a quick bite on a hot day! Just a short walk on the beach to the pier and amusement area. Loved this place! 10/10

I♥️THE Carolina Motel Resort very much and I highly recommend it to every one and they have a pool and a place to eat and the rooms are great and the people are Extremely Friendly and YOU need to check it out for your self no matter what I♥️them very

Great location to the pier and local shops! with beach access and beautiful views. The staff was attentive to needs and quick to be of assistance if any was needed. Under wonderful new management, The Carolina has been doing some renovation and other nice changes. overall a nice experience, would recommend and stay again

This old girl has been rode hard and put up wet. Can’t beat the location, walk out your door straight to Sandy beach. Looks like they are slowly putting money into this with new AC units. I mean, if you just want a bed and hot shower then this is the place for you. The one girl that works there is great. But the property needs some serious attention. See photos

Location to the beach can’t be beat, and it’s just far enough from the major hub of town that you’d think it’s a quiet place to be. But there’s a restaurant right next door with very loud live music, late morning and early and late afternoon thru the evenings. The pictures online for the rooms at this motel are quite beautiful. We were surprised to discover just how rundown our motel room really was. Walls were dingy, there were holes in the walls and the bathroom fixtures, and I could see and feel chips in the sink’s porcelain. The website also promotes a smoke-free property but there were guests smoking in the courtyard, in front of their rooms, and by the pool, and I saw staff around who didn’t say a word. At least the rooms seemed clean. So between the cleanliness and the location to the beach we felt settled with our vacation. But we’ll be considering other places next year.

A beautifully located motel less than a mile from the Pier and 58 seconds from the beach. Small kitchenette (stove, fridge, microwave, and accessories) is clean. Very clean rooms. Very courteous staff. Neighbors a small bar that closes early and avoids noise. I recommend this motel, as we will be returning next year.

The hotel is very well located on the beach. I really enjoyed the bar-restaurant next door with an interesting menu and reasonably priced drinks, and live music at the end of the day. There were lots of Quebecers, as is usually the case in this area. It was quiet. Room 1 is old and needs renovations. No soap, no shampoo, no new towels the next day. A tiny trash can in the bathroom, and that's it. No housekeeping in the room. There's rarely anyone at the front desk. Full trash cans outside. No parking for us at the hotel. We have to park in a public lot paid for by our hotel. It's impossible to get a second key for our room. In short, it's very basic. The service isn't great.
