Rainbow Pines Tourist Caravan Park

Older caravan/cabin park, beautiful location. The new amenities are fabulous and very clean. We had a powered camp site with lovely views, but Some sites are Challenging even with a leveling system. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and assisted us when required.

On our arrival the BBQ was filthy, out of gas and had a broken burner. The next morning management were responsive and promptly replaced the gas bottle. The park management were friendly and helpful. Small tubs of worms were expensive at $20 - check them to ensure they are alive. The recycle bin was full on our arrival and never got emptied during the week of our stay. Overall the park is very dated and the $254 charged per night for the cabin is massively overpriced. I would recommend stopping at Buckenderra instead.

Friendly staff and clean property.

The cabins are very run down. I shared a cabin with another couple and the door to my bedroom was jammed half-way shut so had to slide out. It is a very old fashioned arrangement whereby I had to walk through their (main) bedroom to use the bathroom. There is no air conditioner but a heater instead with insufficient instructions, though finally worked it out! They have a minimum stay of 2 nights otherwise one must pay a penalty if you only need one night (our situation). I stayed the previous night in Providence Portal so there are plenty of other far superior accommodation choices (also Anglers Reach, plus Adaminaby) where there was no additional payment for one night only stay. Also the booking procedures for our group was unnecessarily cumbersome.

Very pleasant place to stay

We loved our visit to Rainbow Pines. The location is gorgeous. The facilities were clean and tidy. We enjoyed our camp fire. The site is not cramped. We enjoyed the bird life. The Rosellas will eat out of your hand!!
