Hotels near Lake Suwa in Okaya

Once you get to the rotary at Matsumoto Station, you can arrive within 2 minutes, and breakfast is available until 9:30, so if you arrive late, it will be empty and you can eat slowly and thoroughly. I made a business reservation on short notice, and it was cheap, so I'm a candidate to use it again. Also, by chance, they were holding a lottery to commemorate the company's founding, and even though they didn't win, they received a small bottle of local sake. I was lucky.

City Hotel in front of Okaya Station, Furekomi Street, 30 seconds from Okaya Station. There is a bus section for the Iida line due to heavy rain, and check-in after 10 o'clock at night. But as soon as you get off the station, you will see the signboard and you will not be lost. However, there is no convenience store in front of the station, and it is a little hard to shop. The hotel has a bicycle for that. The building is not new, but the room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was rich in variety and enjoyed the taste well.

It's a small but beautiful hotel with a very good location. It's opposite Matsumoto Station. It's super convenient for shopping and eating. It's also very convenient to walk to Matsumoto Castle and the restaurant has a very good view👍.

It was close to both the train station and the bus terminal, all the interiors were newly remodeled, all appliances were clean like new, and the bathroom faucet, shower, and carpet were perfect. And even though it was next to the road, it was well soundproofed so I could hardly hear the car. Very good value for money and the staff was very friendly and nice. I also have intention to use it. Strong recommendation. And it was a card key, not a key that is not often seen in Matsumoto, so it was convenient and very nice to go outside.

Stayed in two room types, the front desk helped me arrange the room on the first night, and let me leave my luggage in the room the next day, very worry-free and convenient. The room in the other hall is quite old, but the price is low, and the lake view room in the main building has a first-class view! Breakfast hot springs are the same. The breakfast tasted very good and the hot spring view was the best. Do an electronic questionnaire and small candy. Next to it is the geyser, and it is only a 12-minute walk from Shangyu Visit Station. In short, very satisfied!

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. It was clean and the hot spring water was soft and made my skin smooth. We also visited the large bathroom downstairs, which was spacious and had nice spring water. Dinner was prepared in a separate private room. Again, this was a nice Japanese-style room with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was very tasty from the starters and I felt happy. And the staff were very helpful, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. She saw me off when I left, and at that point she pointed to the roof of the hotel and said, ”Look. I looked at the roof and saw a real heron perched on it. And when we got in the car and started driving away, the heron flew away too. That was the last service at the Saginoyu(Heron’s Bath).

I used it this time for climbing with a friend. The staff was also very kind! The kitchen, dining area, washroom & shower room was also quite clean and comfortable. This time I stayed in a Japanese-style room, but it's perfect if you think that there is a kotatsu and you just sleep! Tickets for nearby hot spring facilities (about 5 minutes walk) were also cheaply purchased at the reception! I would like to stay again next time.

Breakfast was good. Fruit comes out enough to have fruit. There are meat, fish, vegetables and celery, and I can feel good that I don't run away only to fly. There was also yogurt, and I was able to eat color 々 without getting tired even if I stayed overnight. The bed is also good with Simmons. The chair was also firmly backed up. The hot spring was small but real. It is a plus that there was a water server. There was tea, green tea and dripping coffee in the room, so I came to drink water. It seems that you can stay at a good price if you make a reservation early, but I think Cospa is quite good.

We stayed at Sui Suwako in late October as part of a long Honshu road trip, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience at Sui Suwako. It's a hybrid Ryokan/Hotel of sorts... it's a 4-story building that lacks a grand entrance or massive property grounds. But it offers rooms that are modern and comfortably appointed, the Omotenashi hospitality of a family-run Ryokan, an onsen bath in each and every room (as well as a terrific rooftop co-ed bath) as well as a terrific Kaiseki dining experience. Given its location in the middle of Nagano, it also serves as a good overnight rest spot if you're coming to/from places such as Tokyo, Fuji, Nagano, the Hokuriku Region, Tsumago/Magome and Karuizawa. Sui Suwako is located on the banks of the enormous Lake Suwa (”Suwa-ko” in Japanese), although there's a somewhat busy road as well as a small park/boardwalk between the property and the lake itself. It's not in the most secluded of locations, but upon entering the building and walking into the reception/common area you'll find that Sui Suwako is an oasis of tranquility. The furnishings and decor are a combination of traditional and modern - liberal use of brightly-colored wood, large windows facing a small yet charming garden, the earthly tones of the furnishings and a smattering of Shoji (dividers that consist of white, semi-translucent sheets on a lattice frame) lend an airy, homely feel. The same is true in the rooms themselves - it's a country home-style feel that gives it a warm, inviting vibe to the entire place. There are a total of 8 rooms (2 on each of the 4 floors) with two slightly different room categories. We choose to stay in the larger of the two types, dubbed the ”Wide Japanese/Western-style Room with Open-air Hot Spring Bath, 75m².” It's slightly larger than the standard rooms, although every room contains a private, (semi-)open-air Onsen (hot springs) bath with views of Lake Suwa towards the far end of the room that also serves as a terrace of sorts. Our room was on the top (5th) floor with wonderful views of the lake, and was sufficiently spacious with a generously-sized living room and a separate bedroom with two large Western-style beds. Another neat feature of Sui Suwako is the open-air Onsen bath on the roof of the building. It offers commanding views of the lake, and it's also co-ed - unlike most Onsen baths, you're permitted to bathe in bathing suits, which allows for an enjoyable Onsen experience with friends and family of the opposite gender. And, given that only a maximum of 8 group of guests will be staying there at any given time, you're more than likely to have the bath all to yourself than sharing it with other guests. I recommend that you go just before dinner during the sunset hours. It's a gorgeous time to chill out and marvel at the beauty and serenity of the area.
