OceanBlue Resort

We were in Barbados for 10 nights and I really wanted to try Ocean Blue but was concerned it may be too quiet. We decided on a 3 night stay and spent the other 7 nights at St Lawrence Ocean Blue is beautiful. The food delicious. The owners and staff exceptional. We enjoyed our time there so much and wish we had split the holiday 5 nights at each. If we go to Barbados again we will definitely stay at Ocean Blue for the whole holiday but hire a car for a few days to get out and about.

What a little gem. Small boutique hotel with 3 stars. Spotlessly clean with simple but tasteful decoration with a lot of local art on display. Off the beaten track but everywhere is accessible by bus or taxi. The food in the restaurant is excellent; free tea and coffee all day was a real bonus. The staff deserve a truly special mention. Friendly, efficient, polite and considerate. If you want nightlife on your doorstep and instant access to the beach this isn’t for you. If you want calm relaxation in a wonderful setting, then this is your hotel.

Having visited the island on numerous occasions for business and pleasure, I chose OceanBlue as I wanted a really quiet place that still allowed easy access around Barbados. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and settled into 201 (Sea Turtle). The rooms are simple but all that you need and we had a sensational view. The hotel never seems busy and you can chill around the pool even when the car park suggests that many of the guests are present in the hotel. The management/ owners set the tone with their friendly, nothing is a problem, approach. This is reflected in the attitude of the staff. Although it is being dealt with, the raucous rooster did wake us up at ungodly hours but my ear plugs did the job once I located them in my baggage!! My wife reckons at times she felt she was going to turn over and he would be tucked up in bed with us!!! I am told by James that he is being humanely removed!!! A super place, with super people and stunning views

This little jewel of a hotel sits nestled against the South coast of the incredible island of Barbados. We were greeted with warm smiles and brought to a simple, clean room with an enormous bed and a deck with spectacular views of the Atlantic ocean. The resort is just about ten minutes away from Oistins by car on some rather bouncy roads, and it is a fantastic place to be able to get to most places on the island. The menu was in the process of being upgraded, but the food was excellent. We were there for Barbados' Independence Day and the menu at the resort gave a wonderful taste of the island. Ocean Blue promises peace and quiet. It promises to feed your soul. With no television and no children (for safety reasons), it did just that. By the end of the first week we were familiar with our environment and happily adventuring about Barbados in our little hire car. At the end of our island adventure we felt as though we could live there forever! The staff were friends and every smile was joyful. If peace and quiet, and adventuring are your thing, a stay at Ocean Blue Resort is a definite. The only hiccup we had was the local roosters who had no sense of time, but even that made us laugh and became part of the island adventure. Thank you to all at Ocean Blue for making us welcome.

An amazing experience, spectacular views of the coastline, peace & quiet yet not far from everything. Hospitality is exceptional, you feel like part of the family. The property oozes character, the rooms are super comfortable, makes it very hard to leave. It will redefine your holiday experience.

Just back from 10 days at ocean blue and haven’t got a bad word to say about it. The rooms are lovely and spacious, will miss waking up to the noise of the ocean. The food at the onsite restaurant was really good. The staff are amazing, the women on reception were so welcoming and lovely. It’s a little bit further from the action but can get a bus for a couple of pounds or a quick taxi. Would definitely return!
