Sandals Royal Barbados All Inclusive - Couples Only

Stayed 11/10-11/17/24 Room category BSKY - Stargazer Building Honeymoon Arrival: We arrived in Barbados on Saturday 11/9 and stayed in a nearby hotel, we had Rolls Royce pickup with our room, and we were delighted that Sandals agreed to pick us up in our ride from the other hotel since we were not arriving from the airport on our first day at Sandals. We are glad we did this because it allowed us the entire day at Sandals on our first day. At the airport we had filled out immigration forms online ahead of time but that line did not move much quicker than those who filled out there. Overall it was not a very long wait, maybe 15 minutes. By the time we made it through, our bags were already off the belt, very quick and efficient. Checkin: I did not checkin online but did it at the resort and it took me maybe 5 minutes. Super quick. We went to the Butler Elite lounge where we met one of our butlers Shak, and he had given us our butler phone. It was nice because we were able to go to the pool bar and hangout until our room was ready and Shak gave us a call and escorted us to the room when it was. Room: BSKY room 7520 Let me just say, this room is INCREDIBLE! My husband never wants to stay in a room of any lesser category than BSKY (not good for our wallets ). We were greeted with champagne and meats and cheese which was such a nice touch. Fully stocked bar area, where we requested Tito’s vodka and Tequila which were brought to our room. The room itself is huge, I would say more like an apartment! We hit the jackpot being on the top floor as the view was just stunning. We used our skypool every single day, and the water was warm! It was awesome to unwind in there after the beach with a cocktail every day. Butlers: Our butler team was Shak, Kevan, and Ron and let me just say, they made our trip! This was our first time at Sandals and they truly went above and beyond, in our eyes, to make our honeymoon perfect. They were friendly, prompt, and overall, just great people and we are so sad we didn’t at least get a picture with them :( Upon our arrival, they had already made all of our dinner reservations so we had spots and didn’t need to worry. We were able to make adjustments where we needed to. For us, having a butler was key. We ordered desserts from a different restaurant than we ate at that night to be In our room after dinner and it was so fun to just try different things every day. When we had a late dinner we would get a small meal in the room from a different restaurant to hold us over. We loved that we had a front row spot on the beach everyday. We are beach people since we live in Buffalo, NY with no ocean access. We had our butlers bring us breakfast from one of the restaurants with iced coffees every morning so we could start our days right away. Ron had drawn us a bath one day when we returned from the beach which was lovely and much appreciated. They would bring us lunch and drinks to our beach chairs for us, again not necessary but

This was my favorite Sandals resort so far. The service was excellent (as always), the food was delicious (as always!), the white sand beach was amazing. Even though it's a public beach, it never seemed too crowded and felt private when you were in the water. The 2 artificial reefs/breakwater were relatively shallow and with a mask and snorkel I was able to see a lot of fish. There were usually pool towels to be found, which hasn't always been our experience! The bartenders were excellent. I had the best massage at Red Lane Spa, and didn't feel pressured to buy additional products. Our room was upgraded as the one we picked wasn't available; the room was AMAZING. Our butlers Princess, Shameka and Latrell were awesome, they made our dinner reservations and got us into the restaurants we picked. They were responsive but not intrusive. They kept our coolers stocked by the beach and had our favorite snacks waiting in our room in the afternoon. The New Years Eve party was great and had amazing fireworks over the beach. I felt very safe going on runs alone outside the resort into St. Lawrence Gap and along the road to Rockley Beach. Overall, just a fantastic island, resort and people. We definitely plan to go back!

We had booked this resort for our honeymoon for the first week of December for 10 nights. Approaching visiting we had some concerns of negative reviews, and were somewhat worried of how our experience would be. Those fears were very quickly eased, and remained that way for the whole trip, even though there were some opportunities for the experience to be improved. Starting with check in, I can’t recall the male member of staffs name at the club lounge, but he escorted us to our room. Had great energy, and really made us feel welcome, as did the whole club sandals team. The check in process was quick and easy which is just what we needed as our flight was a little delayed into Barbados. We stayed in a SSLB, South seas crystal lagoon club level Barbados suite. The room was much more spacious than we ever imagined. It looked like it had been recently repainted. Aircon worked effectively, and felt clean and modern. It was situated in the starfish building which was extremely quiet which is exactly what we hoped for, overlooking the lazy river. It was a bit of a walk to most of the resort from there but we enjoyed that as it helped us burn off some of the lovely food that we certainly enjoyed! The one bit of feedback on the room was whilst it had been painted, some parts of the room like the reading lights, were rusted and damaged, which I wouldn’t expect to see in a 5* resort. Housekeeping did attend daily and were all very friendly, when there if we made any requests they always did their best to complete. The fridge was refilled daily in the room too. Towels were changed daily, however on occasion no bath mat for the floor was left and we had to chase for one. The failings on this were generally when we phoned and requested something, it never happened. My wife wanted a vanity kit which were provided in the rooms. After the first day these were never replaced. Later in the trip my wife needed one, we phoned and were told one would be sent, and it never was, even when chased. We phoned the next day, and again nothing was sent. Moving onto food, we enjoyed broadly all our meals so much. Lots of variety, vast majority of servers were superb, and the settings were great. Any adjustments to meal choices were always followed up on, and the quality of the food felt great, delicious steaks and lobster. Highlights, Tony’s omelettes in American tavern, a real asset to the resort, starting guests day on an upbeat note with his fun and friendly service. Our most enjoyable dinner in the restaurants was Butch’s steak and seafood, where the manager introduced us there, and came across extremely professional, then Annette our server absolutely wowed us with her service. Made us feel like the only people in the restaurant. Really impressive and the food was great too. Some of these reviews had me nervous for our stay, but I am SO glad I didn’t switch resorts. We stayed in the seaside crystal lagoon penthouse suite. Our room was super clean and in a great location. They did have an issue with towel turnover, so one recommendation I have is if you don’t mind reusing towels- hanging 2 up just in case. We only had one day in our stay where we didn’t come back to clean towels. We did two photo shoots with Rhomona who was an absolute doll! She was so incredibly personable and made the photos a breeze for my husband who isn’t big into having his picture taken. We got a lot of amazing shots! We had a couples massage in the spa while we were there. We originally had asked to book scents of love which is the massage we had done previously in Saint Lucia, but the spa staff recommended upgrading to the Tropical Oasis massage. We wanted an indoor massage which is why I did not book the Tropical Oasis originally (it’s advertised as outdoor). We didn’t find value in the “upgrade”, but the massage was amazing. I truly feel like the “outdoor” aspect of the massage is what makes it more costly, but we did not want that aspect. Shernelle was extremely personable when we were checking out, and we enjoyed a lengthy conversation with her about the resort and island. She recognized us and called us by name everytime we saw her after the massage. Every person we passed at the resort was super friendly, always making sure to greet us. If we looked like we were looking for something, someone was always there asking if we needed help. The food was amazing! Our favorite restaurant we dined at was Butch’s Chophouse, but we loved all the other places as well- American Tavern, Kimonos- shoutout to Christopher!, Butch’s Steakhouse, Merry Monkey, and the Italian restaurant (drawing a blank on the name). We visited the French cafe every morning for coffee and quite often at night for ice cream. Try the Frappuccino- it’s amazing! We also stopped frequently at the donut shop. The chocolate cream cheese marshmallow brownie was to die for. We wished there were more breakfast options. There were two buffets, and we went to the American Tavern one most mornings due to it being inside and air conditioned. I wish there were more unique options for sit down breakfast (variety of waffles, pancakes. etc.). There is one restaurant, but it’s the same options as the buffet. Now for the stars of the show- our amazing butler team—Shak, Ron, and Kev—made our Sandals experience unforgettable! If you’ve never stayed in a Sandals butler room, these guys are the dream team for your trip. Each of them looks after 5-7 couples, and they somehow always manage to be around when you need a drink, a snack, or just to check in—without ever feeling overbearing. Before we even arrived, we filled out a questionnaire about our preferences (favorite snacks, drinks, dining plans, etc.), and everything was set up before we stepped off the plane. Stayed for 10 days at the Royal Barbados, the hotel is stunning, it was just being decked out in xmas decorations and also Barbados Independence which we just missed. The restaurants are all really good, however special mention needs to be made for The Bombay, Sammi and his team are amazing and the food served there is just awesome, get the lamb chops you won't regret it! Seek out Tony in the American Tavern for the buffet breakfast he does a mean omelette. We stayed in Block 11 which is near the quiet pool ,Jasmina is amazing and served the drinks at the poolside bar. The rooms were great, very spacious and clean with an amazing bath on the balcony. The only downside to the rooms were as previously mentioned backing onto a number of private houses outside the Sandals complex, one of these houses had 3 dogs chained up in the garden, as a result sometimes they did bark during the day and night, if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs and you will be fine. Overall, personally we really enjoyed our 10 days the staff are great, the food awesome, we didn't experience any major queues for the restaurants, it was all very chilled. Would highly recommend.

Celebrated our 30th anniversary! Beautiful resort, spacious room, impeccably clean and well kept! Some of the eating establishments were great while others were lacking. Room service was amazing and the majority of the staff, extremely helpful! Looking forward to booking another Sandals resort in the future. Worth the $$$$$ overall!
