Ocean Acres Ogunquit

My wife and I have stayed at numerous locations over the past 14 years in Ogunquit. Never had an experience like this. The positives were that the room was large and the location was quiet. The bedding uncomfortable and hard. The first night was o.k, even though we had a noise from the bath room plumbing that repeating its grumbling consistently every 15 minutes. That was o.k. because we cranked up the fan to drown out the noise. Day two - we came back to - no new towels - room not vacuumed - but bed made and trash removed. Day 3 was horrible - came back at 2 pm to a room that was never picked up and the only thing that was done was the dirty towels on the bathroom floor were removed as was the trash. Room never picked up, nor was the bed made, nor were there any new towels. My wife went to the front desk and was given no explanation as to why the room was in that condition, but given new towels. Day 4 check out. I had to tell the "Manager" Andy about our experience and what he should have done to accommodate my wife and I the night before. Andy's expression was like a deer looking into the headlights. His comment was " You're complaining about the bed not being made?" Hello? Apparently when he took the course for Customer Service - he must have completed it via zoom and fell asleep. I was told by Andy that they have been in business for 60 years. So I asked him, "What is your point?" I then asked who the owners were, he said "My parents". That explained everything!

Spacious, clean ,comfortable room. Very close to beach, restaurants. 20 minute walk to Ogunquit center. Only problem : tv cable. Front desk clerk responded quikly.

We had fun exploring Ogunquit. Clean and comfortable room with easy access/parking. Great location.

Easy check in and check out, clean, safe and well situated. 20 min walk to Ogunquit centre and 10 to the beach.

The ease to check in and out was great. The rooms could be updated like back in the 1980’s

The area was really nice. Needs some updating in pillows . More grills and eating tables

Not the newest furnitures but we enjoyed our stay very much. Pools are great for kids - beach is easy to reach.

Nice room. Clean, quiet. Walking distance to beach and dining. Decent price point.

Property is in a convenient location. Dining options within walking distance or a short drive. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was a little too firm for our taste. Minor critique: Was a little bothered that after we had placed the card that was provided by the property on the door asking for clean linens that the housekeeping staff did not remove the dirty linens from our room and leave the clean linens in the room. Instead the linens were left in a bag outside our door and the dirty linens were still in the room when we returned. We didn't mind the clean linens being in a bag, but we would have preferred them being left in the room, not sitting outside all day while we were gone.
