This is truly a wonderful 5-star hotel nestled in the Bavarian mountains. It is family owned and their service is impeccable. Their breakfast and dinner offering is truly marvellous and the highlight at the end of every day is a freshly made crepe with Nutella. Their program offering for children of all ages is extensive. Our three kids participate in all sorts of sports and creative activities and every afternoon they finish off the day in the pool area. For those who like sport, the hotel offers tons of classes and excursions. For those who would rather relax, the grounds are extensive and beautifully maintained so you can hang out by the pool area.

The resort is huge but they did a good job to break it up for more privacy feeling, the building as well as the restaurant. Different indoor and outdoor pools and huge garden. The view from the room.. great if you are on a higher floor. Not so impressed with the suite itself, sep. bedroom, good bed and balcony, sep. living space.. a bit dark and the furniture are not comfortable ( bench against the wall) nor well placed in the room, the sofa and chair are back to back. Bathroom very good . Negative, no air-condition and lots of stairs on the way from the room to the lobby or restaurant. Food always good quality. For me more bread choices would be nice. Interesting the walk through the moorland and to the Golf course for lunch.

Alle Familienmitglieder bei uns sind Fans der Sonnenalp, unsere Kinder (jetzt 16/14) genau so, wie wir Eltern. Die Sonnenalp bietet gemütlichen Luxus auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Die Anlage ist einfach traumhaft, hier schätzen unsere Kinder insbesondere das Schwimmbad und abendlichen Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Das Essen ist bereits in der Halbpension großartig (zur Silberdistel habe ich einen separaten Berichtgeschrieben) und auch hier ist die Kombination aus Menü und Buffet einfach top. Auch nach vielen Jahren freuen sich unsere Kinder immer wieder über die Möglichkeit doch noch schnell eine Minipizza oder natürlich einen frischen Crêpe zu bestellen. Das Ganze wird "abgerundet" durch fantastisches Personal, nicht nur dass alle immer freundlich und aufmerksam sind (das darf man in dieser Kategorie Hotel voraussetzen), sondern man hat immer das Gefühl alle identifizieren sich selbst mit dem Haus und geben sich größte Mühe ihren jeweiligen Job perfekt zu machen, damit ich als Gast eine gute Zeit habe. Das ist wirklich großartig, vor allem für Familien, da wir trotz perfekten Hotels für die Kinder auch als Erwachsene keinerlei Kompromisse an Service, Essen, Ausstattung o.ä. machen müssen und zwar in keiner Alterlasse. Kommt wohl nicht von ungefähr, dass man an vielen Nebentischen 3 Generationen beim Frühstück oder Abendessen sieht,

Ein wunderschöner Hideaway in Deutschland seit vielen Jahrzehnten. Solche Plätze, in der Qualität, gibt es nur noch sehr wenige in der Welt. Perfekt alleine, mit Freunden oder Familie. Nach dem Tod meines Vaters vor einigen Jahren, zog sich meine Ma für mehrere Wochen in die Sonnenalp zurück und kam als froher Mensch wieder. Wunderschöne Parkanlage in den Bergen. Ein wirklich tolles, herausragendes Team an Mitarbeitern in allen Bereichen des Resorts. Hervorragende Restaurants mit einer sehr guten Qualität an Speisen. Schöne grosse Poolanlagen mit viel Platz. Danke an die Inhaberfamilie und das Team, daß alles so zu erhalten.

Das Sonnenalp Resort in Ofterschwang im Allgäu ist seit vielen Jahren unser bevorzugtes Ziel für einen Familienurlaub. Das Hotel überzeugt mit schönen, großen Zimmern, auch wenn das Badezimmer noch Verbesserungspotential bietet – wir sind schon gespannt auf die renovierten Zimmer im nächsten Jahr. Der Wellnessbereich und der große Garten sind perfekt zum Entspannen, genauso wie der wunderschöne Golfplatz und die herrliche Berglandschaft rundherum. Das Frühstück und Abendessen sind ebenfalls sehr gut, besonders bei schönem Wetter, wenn man die Mahlzeiten auf der Terrasse genießen kann. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt.

Das Sonnenalp Resort ist rundum hervorragend. Bester Service, sehr gut geschulte Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen, sehr schöne Zimmer und exzellentes Essen (Frühstück und Abendessen). Wir hatten die Himmelreich Suite. Meine Kinder hatten Einzelzimmer. Der hohe Preis ist durch die Leistungen des Hotels gerechtfertigt. Nur ein Kritikpunkt: In unserer Suite fehlte ein Kaffeeautomat. Ansonsten kann ich das Sonnenalp nur uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wunderschönes Familienhotel in traumhafter Location, tolles Hotel...unser Familie kommt seit Generation seit über 50 Jahren....das allein sagt schon alles. Wir lieben die Poollandschaft, den Sauna und WEllnessbereich. Es wird immer an etwas gearbeitet um das Hotel zu verbessern. Tolle Zimmer, super Better. Ganz tolels Essen und super Qualität.
