Cornerstone Inn & Suites Oelwein

Have bedbugs do not recommend!! Barely ever have milk in the fridge. Breakfast is based on depending how many people are checked in. Gravy is canned and terrible. Smells like dog food. The coffee smells like tobacco. Didnt seem too clean. The morning staff look kinda greasy. I understand its oelwein but we can atleast clean up

The Cornerstone Inn is a very nice and well-maintained hotel. The front desk people were very gracious and helpful, and, most importantly, available whenever we needed something or had a question. We will return.

Wow! Cornerstone Inn and Suites is a great place to stay. The beds are very nice. The rooms are clean and upscaled. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great place to stay. One of the best in this region of NE Iowa. We will be back.

We have stayed dozens of times at this property. It’s an attractive and convenient property. Breakfasts served based on occupancy so don’t count on that. The staff is helpful. Nice dining area. However, . . . we discovered bedbugs during our last stay. Checked out at 10:00 at night. We won’t be back.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel; the rooms are very clean; the beds are very comfortable as well as the pillows. The perfect about of blankets too and the AC was perfect. However, if you are short, you will need a push-up on the bed's giggle... I did and I am 5' 3". We did have to ask for more towels and TP during our overnight visit. The water system is hard water, so you will not make bubbles in the tub, shower, or on your body. We left feeling like a layer of soap was on our skin. The hotel does provide breakfast, and it all was very well displayed and clean. However, If you are a coffee drinker like me, YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY with their watered-down coffee. I did ask the front desk person (I didn't get her name) to make a new pot and was told that is how our coffee is. I made a cup of tea instead and it was darker than the coffee was. I was not happy with the way she handled our coffee conversation at all. The young lady (red hair young lady on June 10th around 5 pm) we checked into the hotel with was AMAZING, informative, helpful, and open to assisting us. She needs to be a manager for sure!! (I feel bad I didn't get her name.) Overall we will come back to this hotel when visiting family in the Oelwein area but I will bring my own coffee.
