Loved this little resort near the coastal towns of south western Portugal. Very convenient for many day trips and close (5-30 minutes) to very good restaurants. The room was very clean and comfy, breakfast buffet was awesome with made to order eggs if you want them. However if you are an early riser, breakfast doesn’t start til 8:30. They do have a small menu to order through out the day but only til 5:30. I definitely recommend this as a peaceful and comfy stay.

One of the best experiences on our Portugal trip. Stuff was super friendly, the friend eggs were between the best I have eaten so far. All tools were clean and got cleaned every day. The garden and the pool were amazing to relax your mind and body.

Outstanding quiet location on a beautiful landsite. Pleasant & stylish built. Few rooms guarantee privacy. Very kind and helpful staff. Loved to chatter about this and that! Even though the site is situated all alone in the wilderness, you can reach gorgeous beaches such as „praia de Odeceixe“ easily in 10 minutes by car. Coming again for sure

Beautifully designed hotel. So peaceful with the lounge chairs around the terrace and pool. Excellent breakfast with gluten free options. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the pool from a distance.

It’s a unique country hotel. We fully appreciated the fresh air, tranquility and the Portuguese countryside during our stay. Beautiful stars at night are amazing plus! The hotel is a bit away from the town but we were introduced many great restaurants not too far from the property upon check in. We were quite happy with the two local restaurants within a walking distance, especially the seafood restaurant introduced by the hotel staff. Breakfast at the hotel was great too.

We appreciated everything in this guesthouse , warm welcome, excellent service ( people are very committed) , nice room , very good breakfast and dinner ( good products) , quiet area . I will recommend this guest house to my friends and my relations . We will come back !

Monte do Cardal is a wonderful place to relax and appreciate the opportunity to take in the experience of a hotel run with pride of ownership. Everything from staff, to accommodations, to food and facilities are top notch. Our vacations can be a bit go, go, go but Monte do Cardal made us want to just stop, stop, stop! Even if we do not make it back to this beautiful area again, we will recommend to anyone who has the chance to be in the area.
