Stayed here for 2 nights and my stay was perfect. I like the location on the west side of town, easy drive to retail and restaurants. They were able to check me in early, the pool/hottub area is nice and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. They had fruit, cereal, eggs, variety of breads, waffles, yogurt and juices. The room was what you would expect, small fridge and microwave. Everything worked as expected. I was very pleased overall.

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? Much better than 1st time. Hotel is under remodel.. They just finished their pool and it looks great.. They're working on the roof. The rooms still need some work. But they are coming a long way. Price is right. There is a deposit which is I believe $50. You do get it back and roughly about 7 to 10 days depending on your credit card. It is not pet friendly unless you have a service dog. Hotel is right before the Orlando health Doctor Phillips. Rooms come with a microwave and a Mini refrigerator. They do serve a breakfast that you must eat out front. You cannot take it back to your room. All their handicapped rooms or on the 1st floor.

It was good and it had good service. The room was very clean and in good condition.

I don't feel like this comfort inn I have lived in. The towels are very dry and similar to Motel's. In the past, the towels and beds in their stores were very soft... The bathroom door could not be closed, the shower curtain could not be pulled. The bath water was whole bathroom!

Excellent if you are on a budget better than Rosin Inn which is brits tend to go the room worked out at £45 per night for a family of four plus you get free buffet breakfast food nice hot and cold food and hot and cold drinks fruit and yogurts scrambled eggs bacon everything is their no parking fee we didn’t pay a resort fee either staff lovlely twice my son put an egg in the microwave and it exploded they never complained room spotless free shuttles to both Disney and universal

I’m sitting here on my last night and feeling sad, I don’t want to leave. I wanted to write a review because there were so many bad reviews that I was getting a little bummed before I came. First off, do not be afraid of the construction going on. My building was literally right across from it and I barely heard anything or saw anything. Second, everyone keeps talking about how the rooms need updating and I agree to a point. I did not feel my room was dank or worn. It was beautiful. It was clean. We loved it. They cleaned everyday too and even at Animal Kingdom in January we didn’t have that. The Lagoon View is great o highly recommend! We ate at Citricos , and are waiter Giovanni was excellent and the food was fabulous. We were a party of 13 with 8 kids and he handles us with ease. The pools are all great, my kids love them especially the slide pool! The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful. The location is very good. The monorail makes it easy to go to Magic Kingdom and even going to Epcot didn’t take as long as people on line act like it does! We still totally rope dropped! Bottom line it was a great trip. We were a party of 13 and no one is complaining! Yes it is super expensive. Disney is expensive! Other then that we were really happy and are sad to leave! My only recommendation is when there is an issue and there were a few at check in you go back to throwing lightening lanes at people like the fast passes in the old days! It makes you feel like you are getting some kind of compensation when things aren’t perfect. Just fyi all of our issues were resolved. They were nice about it too!

I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience as my first ever Marriot Bonvoy benefits. I'll start by saying my first impression was ”clean”. It's spacious so you don't feel crowed either in the lobby, the coffee bar (which is loaded and include Italian Creme for your coffee!), the hallways, etc. Speaking of the hallways, I ventured out just for coffee around 6:15 and the space outside of the room was a very cozy temperature. Perfect for those just rolling out of bed to muster enough energy to go for coffee. There is coffee in the room but fresh coffee is worth the short walk. The key card is perfect - no need to insert. It's a touch screen. There are multiple options for lighting - my favorite is the dimmable lights above the bed so that in the AM, you don't have to wish for more light or squint from too much light. All and all a very comfortable stay. I don't come to Clermont often but when I come back, I'll be sure to stay here. Clermont is a very beautiful city and surprisingly, there is elevation here! If you're form Florida, you know that in it of itself is special. :)
