This is a perfect location in the heart of downtown Ocean Springs. As with the other hotels in the collection, the details are thought out, considered, and added. Mike Davis was incredibly helpful with reservations and communication. A shaker in the room bar, a black make-up washcloth, the crackling fireplace on the tv when entering the room … these are just a few of my first impressions. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The shower had a rainfall system and a regular shower head equipped with a handheld sprayer. The pressure was good and the water was as hot as I like it! The in room coffee was from one of the local coffee shops which was an extra treat. The Half & Half creamer made me smile too because I prefer it over powdered creamer. The cups were a good size ceramic instead of paper. The refrigerator had a glass front and was large enough for 3 bottles of champagne, a bottle of bloody Mary’s, and two to go containers. Two stemmed wine glasses and two other beautiful glasses were provided. The couch was comfortable and the room had two TVs - one by the bed and one over the bar. I also liked having a code instead of using a card for hotel and room entry. The ice machine was dropping sheets of ice instead of individual cubes but that was an easy fix with a tap of the provided ice tongs. Over the course of two days I met the owners of the gift shop which is another great addition in the hotel. The Springs Hotel is definitely a great place to stay within walking distance of downtown and next door to the Walter Anderson museum. Make your reservations soon - once this gem is discovered, it’ll be the “go to” in town.
