Well, we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 a.m. and let them know we were here, was advised that our room was not ready which we didn't expect it to be. The front desk person said we could pay a fee for early check in ; however, I declined because we did not need our room early. Received a call at 1:30 that our room was ready, we loaded our stuff up from the beach and headed to the hotel only to be told we had to pay the early check in fee, which I had declined. Questioned the staff, so my room is ready, but you won't let us have it without paying the early check in and she said correct. So we left, I called Amber from the parking lot due to pure aggravation and she explained your policy several times and provided empty apologies (which I hope to not receive after my review). So due to your early check in fee you made a poor
customer service decision. I've stayed at so many hotels in OCMD and never had this problem, all the hotels have check in at 4:00 I have never had to wait until that time (until Seabay) which provides a pleasant start to vacation which was far from my experience. Secondly, the bed was the most awful mattress I've ever tried to sleep in, very rough nights and worse mornings trying to get out of the bed... as a matter of fact I'm writing this review early morning because I can't sleep. Lastly, I'm not a complainer, it takes a lot for me to give a bad review, but this is warranted. Please save any apologies, they just add insult to this whole situation
