Absolutely beautiful setting. The hotel fronts the village and backs onto the historic fortified town wall. Inside, it’s set around a large courtyard full of beautiful flowers. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is storage space for cycles - and many of the guests (like ourselves) seemed to be undertaking Alsace cycle tours. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options.

We have stayed at this hotel three times Great for overnight stops or to enjoy the beautiful area of Alsace Lorraine Within a few feet of entering the magnificent town of Obernai , with picturesque houses and alley ways . Quite a few restaurants and couple of bars Free parking after 6pm next to the hotel and free to blue badge holders Great location to explore Obernai and the ramparts as well as the vineyard trail The hotel is very historic , a little creaky in parts but clean and ideal for a few nights Unfortunately our room was so hot despite all the radiators being off we had to have the double windows open all night . Thankfully despite being street facing nice and quiet The bathroom was good but no storage space by way of shelves to put things . Good shower and soft towels . The toilet was sparate which is good but I do feel there needs to be a ‘little tidy up ‘ for this room . The wardrobe door is wonky as also the cupboards in the toilet and piping areas with the two huge boilers . Speaking of boilers , they are huge and noisy and did wake us up in the morning . For us the WiFi never connected at all during our stay in any Apple product , hub full error each time despite turning off and on etc Breakfast was approx £12 . Yes it is worth it but disappointing the fact the hot food of scrambled eggs were cold and the frankfurter raw . Good selection of meats , cheeses , cakes , boiled eggs , fruit , yoghurts pastries . Good selection of juices too Selection of Hot drinks , although it took 4 attempts to get clear hot water from the machine for teas. Like most drinks machines the previous selection filters through Despite a noisy full breakfast the actual hotel is lovely and quiet

We arrived early and were welcomed by friendly receptionist. And actually given a choice of rooms. We chose first floor at back, very quiet and a spacious triple room just for 2. Each room is different and so historic! The room 113 , has the best shower we have had in France. And , even better, a kettle to make tea in our room. Most 3 star hotels you have to ask for some hot water, so inconvenient and old fashioned. So we had cups of tea, super clean room, great bed. We loved this place, the best on our week in Alsace!

We stayed here overnight on a cross over between Italy and Luxembourg. The hotel was lovely. We had a family room that had a very comfortable double bed, two singles and still plenty of room. The bathroom was spacious as well and very clean. We didn't eat in the hotel but the room looked very busy for breakfast the following morning. The town is lovely for a visit, employees in the hotel and the people in the town generally were very friendly.

A fairly simple hotel, three star I believe from the sign, basic but clean, comfortable and safe with a good location. Rooms are mostly 1st or 2nd floor with no lifts and some narrow staircases between 1st and 2nd floor. Most of the rooms are clustered around an inner courtyard, but some are facing outwards over town and it’s environs. The room was clean, slight shabby chic, with a good shower and kettle/provisions. If you wanted sleek ultra modern hotel, this isn’t for you. If you seek a decent comfortable stay and a good nights sleep then it most certainly works. My only gripes on room were first the coffee sachets in the room weren’t topped up each day, and when they were there was only two - but I’m sure you could ask for more from reception, and secondly, ventilation from the toilet could be better - whether the drains need a clean, or the fan needs to run longer, there was an occasional whiff as you came in the door, nothing major just noticeable. Breakfast was served in a light and airy breakfast room with a varied tasty buffet. There are no lunch or evening meal options, but some basic bar facilities. The hotel is town centre based and there are restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk, plus supermarkets not far away. Great stay, I’d happily return.

We stayed for six nights. Clean and quiet, very good breakfasts and although the hotel does not have a restaurant there are plenty close by for evening meals. Convenient location on the edge of the old part of town. The only downside for some people might be that there is no lift although this was not a problem for us. Highly recommended.

We came with a group and were allocated the top floor (2nd) with 2 rooms, facing the courtyard, very spacious, a choice of beds, good air con, unfortunately weak Wi-Fi. However, the charm of the hotel made up for the latter point. Delicious breakfast, pleasant staff and a very enjoyable 6 nights.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location was excellent. Hotel only has a very small number of parking spots located on the property for which there is a charge of 5 euro. However, there is a large parking lot (Les Remparts) located just behind the hotel that is free public parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Stayed here with friends on a friday night, staff friendly and has a superb little enclosed courtyard. Nice rooms and an ideal location in centre of town. Rooms quite modern and comfortable. Good breakfasts.
