Just returned from a fantastic week in Obergurgl, staying at the Madeleine. The staff are kind, helpful and very professional, nothing is too much trouble for them. Because of an aircraft fault we were diverted via Salzburg and didn’t arrive until 4am but we were greeted with a friendly smile and a superb cold food platter in our room. It was very welcome !! Everywhere is spotless, the rooms a good size The food is outstanding and as someone who is gluten intolerant I am used to inferior alternative food offerings in hotels. Not at the Madeline !! The hotel is close to the main lifts, easy walking distance on the flat - or lots of buses to take you to alternative areas. Thank you to Michael and all his team.

Booked through Crystal. Excellent location and very easy walk to main lift and to the bus stop for Solden. If you hire skis at Scheiber, you can leave them overnight in skiroom by the lift. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were all excellent. The room was large with masses of storage. Food was decent with some excellent fish dishes in particular. However, the salad selection was very small compared with other Austrian ski hotels we have stayed in. The bar was small and very quiet. Most nights, we visited the Eidelweiss and Gurgl Hotel bar for a drink with the Ski Club rep and members. The spa area had good facilities and was very clean. However, there were small children who used the saunas and were quite noisy. Also, most of the users did not abide by the clearly stated no swimsuit rule in the saunas and steam room. It should have been relaxing, but it wasn't.

Beautiful family run hotel. Really friendly attentive staff. Amazing food. Beautiful rooms. Faultless week holiday. No complaints or negative comments. Would go back again and again. Well located hotel for Obergurgl ski lifts. Recommended.

Perfect hotel for a family holiday. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming - great spring skiing and only a couple of minutes walk to ski lift. Great skiing area with access to other ski fields Food was fantastic- fully recommend this hotel 👌

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were incredibly hospitable and every night we were treated to a fantastic array of food. The rooms were comfortable and we even sunbathed on our balcony. The wellness centre was a perfect respite after a day’s skiing. We couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Madeleine. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially in the restaurant where Tibor, Thereza Magdelena and Iva were so lovely to all our family and especially the children. We loved the wood fired pizzas on our last night. The hotel was very comfortable and it made for a special holiday.

Thank you Michael and Nadine and all your wonderful staff for a fantastic holiday. You were so kind to allow us to move rooms to secure a view of the valley. We returned your gift by getting stuck in the lift for a short while. Michael was having his well earned siesta and rescued myself and my wife. Is there nothing this man can’t do. The food and location in our opinion is beyond excellent. The chef again in our opinion could open a restaurant in Manchester and achieve the highest awards going. We were so fortunate to be placed in the middle table of some wonderful people. Dundee …..Edinburgh and Paris made it feel we had been invited to dinner. I sincerely hope we can return with our family.

Many thanks to Richard, Nadine and the team for making our stay at the Madeleine special. Not only did you accommodate our request for a room with a bath, but also allowed us to extend our check out time after my wife damaged her ankle and had to use crutches for the return journey. We hope to return next year.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Hotel Madeleine. Wonderful food, so much choice. The hotel itself is lovely, great location, spotlessly clean and excellent rooms and lovely relaxation and spa area. Michael and Nadine run a great operation with excellent staff. We were looked after very well by Magdalena at all times. Highly recommend.
