Outstanding hotel! The lobby was organized around a courtyard and decorated for Day of the Dead. The rooms were quiet and equipped with comfortable beds and all the amenities. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to find an excellent tour guide for our trip to Mont Alban. Breakfast, which is included, was copious, delicious and served on the lovely rooftop terrace. Also included in the price of the room was transportation to and from the airport. We were in town for a wedding and as far as we could tell we were staying at the nicest boutique hotel!

Utterly disgraceful hotel, we booked this hotel in June for day of the dead 2025, 2 weeks after booking we received a message saying they had put the wrong price down and we could keep the booking for a 350% increase. We contacted the hotel (who ignored us more than once) and yesterday they cancelled our booking having sold it elsewhere for a substantially higher rate. Clearly only care about money, so I’d look elsewhere for a more deserving hotel.

Our group of 13 stayed here for a special birthday/Day of the dead celebrations. The hotel is the perfect size to accomodate that size and give everyone a beautiful room (I looked at them all :) as well as being well situated to walk everywhere. Check in was seamless and the rooms are spacious and very modern. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows (thank you!) and while the air con was nice to use after a hot day out, I liked keeping the windows open for fresh air. The bathroom was huge with a big rainshower head, good sized towels and plenty of room to put your toiletries. It was surprisingly quiet at night given all the crazy celebrations going on, though I could hear staff a bit in the early morning preparing breakfast (kitchen on main floor - dining upstairs in the bar area). Speaking of breakfast, they were AMAZING - all homemade, classic mexican dishes - so delicious and fresh. Other options such as cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit were also available. Everyday was different and so tasty. This is not an inexpensive hotel but it is one of the best I have ever stayed in on so many levels. A big shout out to the staff who helped us in so many ways and were so friendly every single time. thank you, thank you, thank you.

We stayed here for almost a week during a school spring break and had a good time. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location was great. You can walk to anywhere. The service, however, is friendly and adequate but not particularly amazing. It didn't matter for us because we had done so much research heading into the trip, my sister who we were with spoke Spanish and we had ideas about what we wanted to do. I think this hotel would be a great base for anyone who wants to explore Oaxaca and is comfortable largely on their own. But it might be disappointing if you needed to take advantage of concierge services. For example, when we asked them for their restaurant recommendations (out of curiosity), they pointed us to very touristy and crazy expensive places (as opposed to restaurants on our own list provided by friends who spent multiple summers in here). The breakfast was just adequate. The coffee frankly terrible (tasted like it might have been instant). We had it the first morning and then went out the other mornings (There's an excellent, excellent coffee/breakfast shop nearby).

Terrific stay. Fantastic staff! Would definitely recommend. The food was great and very reasonably priced. The property and rooms were extremely clean, which is the most important factor for us. Wonderful location also, centrally located.

Great boutique hotel. 4-5 blocks from main downtown area. Very well appointed rooms. Modern yet local and authentic decor. Very comfortable beds. Quaint little rooftop bar and eating area. All that said, it is the staff that really sets this hotel apart. Within hours of making reservations they texted me to make tour arrangements, restaurant reservations and were ready to help with anything else. Once there, they took excellent care of us and made sure that everything we did was seamless and effortless. Highly recommend staying here.

This 16th century house has been transformed into a beautifully designed boutique hotel. The black pottery lattice work in the lobby is amazing as it brings to mind the latticework of Mitla. The rooms are 21st century in both technology and design. The friendly staff is always there to help and they work together as a team to make your stay the best that it can be. The location is 10 minutes walking to anywhere and everywhere. Carolina and Anna attended to all our needs and Ernesto gave a day great tour. We hope to come back.

Pedro and staff were exceptional! They really seemed to care which I realized is an exception these days. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the staff surprised him with a cake at breakfast: just one example of their attention to detail. They provided transportation to and from the airport (no additional charge.) They arranged an itinerary according to what we wanted to see. The hotel is exquisite, reflecting the local artisans in the region. The breakfast options (included) were top notch. There is a lovely, quiet, rooftop bar that opens late afternoon. The location is several blocks off the square on a less populated street which felt a bit uncomfortable, the first day in a new place, but turned out to be ideal due to noise. There were few reviews when we booked many months ago so I was unsure as to what to expect (it is a relatively new hotel.) We were sad to leave...felt like saying good-bye to close friends. We will never forget our five-day stay at Casa Naila in beautiful Oaxaca.

This small hotel (ten rooms) is located a short walk from the main square, cathedrals and many restaurants. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the property is very well maintained. The king bedrooms are medium sized and the bathrooms very compact. However, everything is beautifully furnished, very modern and spotlessly clean. Some of the gadgets are so modern the staff cannot get them to work and when we couldn’t get the TV to work with the remote control in the room that controls everything: lights, TV etc they ended up bringing us the more conventional TV controls! The bathrooms are well equipped with lovely toiletries (L’Occtaine). However, housekeeping need more training as they do not replace items that are finished and actually put the empty containers back! I had to go to the front desk for refills which were brought promptly but at this price level it should happen automatically. There was both a traditional hot Mexican breakfast offered on the terrace as well as a more traditional American/European breakfast. The food was very good but the team of two struggled to cope when more than a couple of tables arrived at once and ordered a la carte vs eating the buffet breakfast. They also were not prepared when the hotel of ten rooms was at full capacity e.g. only one bowl of fresh fruit was chopped and ready. Then when more was needed they prepared it in front of us. It was definitely fresh but made what should have been a quick breakfast way too long. A similar story with the coffee and filling up the coffee pots, which was also rarely hot (mainly warm by the time we had it) except for the last day. The restaurant team worked very hard each morning and were very charming. They just need either more staff and perhaps more training on coping when at the hotel is at full capacity. The hotel offers a complimentary airport pick up and drop off which we used. We had a comfortable stay here and the staff are fantastic. I hope they resolve the above minor issues/annoyances because they have priced themselves at the top end of the range.
