Great place with friendly staff. Excellent restaurant on the rooftop "Terraza Istmo". We enjoyed it so much we stayed one extra night! Conveniently located 3 blocks from the Zocalo. Quiet location at night but streets are well lit and it felt very comfortable walking to the hotel in the evening.

I stayed there for two nights and I found the location of the hotel fantastic since everything is in walkable distance and there are so many options for food nearby. They serve a simple but healthy complimentary breakfast in the morning, if you want to enjoy it. My room was on the first floor and it was nicely decorated and comfortable. Although a bit small, it was okay for one person. The major problem was with noise coming from both inside (people walking up and down the stairs leading to the terrace and shouting and laughing at any time of the day/night in the corridor) and from outside (my room was above a very trafficked street). I couldn’t sleep a wink the first night and I partially solved the issue with earplugs the second one. But since I am a light sleeper it was a big problem for me. However, everything else was fine, so I guess it depends on your sleeping habits.

This hotel is simple and adequate. It was at a great location, had a comfortable bed with nice linens, was a good value, breakfast was sufficient, the rooftop restaurant had good food, and it was very clean. I didn't interact much with the staff, so can't comment on their friendliness or helpfulness. The room was small with not much room for a suitcase. There was a lot of noise from street, hallway, doorbell, and patrons coming and going from the rooftop bar/restaurant, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. One odd thing was the door to the rooms have three narrow panels in them with frosted glass which, when the lights were on in the hallway, shone through to the room at night making it not as dark as you might like for sleeping. There is a safe in the room (but no directions on how to set the combination), no mini fridge, and a hairdryer was available by asking. Overall I would stay here again due to location, cleanliness, and price.

The good:
Super friendly staff, always willing to help and very helpful.
The rooms, although not very big, are always clean.
Every day 2 bottles of water were in our room.
Continental breakfast with very fresh fruit every day
The bad: the terrace upstairs, they are super noisy, they start cleaning and dragging things at 11:30 at night or 6 am. Without earplugs it is impossible to sleep as easily or as long.
The hotel is very noisy, you can hear everything everywhere, the voices echo a lot.
The hot water takes a long time to come out, at least 5 minutes of wasted water.
In Pablo's room there is a nightstand missing for one person. I always had to leave my things on the floor.
If there are 2 people, why only one bathrobe takes a bath, I don't understand.

The attention of the girl who attended the evening shift was great. In fact, it is the only redeemable thing about the hotel. The room is too small, to give us more pillows they told us that we had to pay an extra cost (first time in my life that they told me that in a hotel), although, finally, they gave them to us without extra charges. The breakfast was terrible: they didn't calculate enough for the guests and we only had a bit of burnt coffee left. The hotel is noisy. In short, a disappointment.
