Well, to say the least we were not exactly happy at the Agrado Guest House. Great location and interesting building. Not too many pros, so here are the cons. No hair dryer in room (had to search for one for the wife in the early morning and that took almost an hour); no shower curtain and a lousy shower (it is a tub/shower and the water drains from the shower running off into a drain on the bathroom floor); breakfast, only one choice with cold toast, starts at 8:30, which is not convenient if you have an early morning excursion, plus, it is cooked at the time you sit down, so another 15 minutes is wasted. Also the coffee is not very good and cold. In winter, take a coat to breakfast because it is out side and is very chilly in the morning. Room itself is very spartan. No TV but that was ok because we were busy and our Spanish is lacking at best. Staff is friendly and do their best trying to communicate. Only the head manager speaks English and he does the breakfast cooking. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were delivered daily. This was good because we used the bath towels to dry up the water on the bathroom floor so we wouldn't slip and break a hip. Covid protocols were good. There is a small bar area but was not staffed. Again, very convenient location and was clean. But I would suggest another place if staying in Oaxaca.
