The Oakhill Inn

Really warm atmosphere and great staff. Very nice lunch. Wish we lived closer, could see visiting regularly. I hate the fact that these reviews have to be so long. Genuinely want to support teams who have worked hard to create a comfortable, hospitable atmosphere with nice food and staff who take the time to actually engage. Perfect recipe for a local pub you return to frequently. But none of the additional info I’ve put into this second paragraph says that any better than the first and frankly, I’ve just had a nice lunch, I don’t want to write an essay.

Stayed 3 nights at this delightful pub and enjoyed every minute. Our room was spacious, clean and warm. Whilst the pub was always busy the room was quiet. The food was top draw and the breakfasts were exceptional, large portions and quality are the order of the day at the Oakhill. You can even create your own 'full English', from the menu. Special thanks to Wayne and Gill for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. A big thumbs up to this historic hostelry. All the best in your future endeavours

We recently stayed here for 1 night while visiting the area. What a lovely little Inn. The manager and staff were very friendly. Our room was perfect and had a large en-suite bathroom. The bed was very large and comfy,so had a good night's sleep. We had an enjoyable meal in the evening and the breakfast was superb. We normally do the full English, but we had the salmon royal and eggs benedict....delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

On arrival hubby and I were greeted with a lovely friendly welcome from Wayne who showed us to our room . The free standing bath was simply fantastic (one of my highlights) The room was supplied with all necessities such us water, tea coffee etc. The food in the restaurant was amazing which catered for my intolerance needs so a huge thank you for that . Wayne - thank you for everything our stay was perfection from start to finish.

Really warm welcome from the hosts, upgraded my room, wonderful freestanding bath, food was fabulous, very comfortable for my overnight stay! Everything I needed was there or just a question away. Great relief after long day at work.

We stayed for an overnighter and were really pleased. The evening dinner was really nice, well prepared, good quality, delicious food. The room was very clean and comfortable with good quality furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, they provided an excellent service. We would definitely stay here again.
