It was busy when I checked in, but the welcome was warm. The hotel is not accessible as it is so old and rooms are up a steep staircase.. The room was comfy and there were facilities for coffee & tea + biscuits. Bathroom was clean and cheery, good shower. Excellent breakfast.

There are only two hotels in the town. They are ok to stay in, but there is a restaurant on the first floor. There are many people drinking and chatting at night, which affects the sleep!

Large modern spotless rooms with everything one needs for a perfect stay. We had a room overlooking the golf course down to Rutland Water. Owner was charming and most helpful. Will be returning.

The worst breakfast I've ever had at pub/hotel, food was burnt to a cinder, especially the bacon, I suspect it was cooked the previous night and warmed up, room was ok but was never serviced, would never recommend, struggled to give it 1 star, bins were never emptied no one there to check us in at 3 in the afternoon
