Incredible two night stay for our two-day trip to Alton towers! Wonderful cooked breakfast with home made jams and the host gave us a lots of information about Alton towers! We will definitely stay again

We spent 5 nights here and it was fantastic. To stay at the beehive was an amazing experience. So clean and well kept. Cozy rooms. Lovely homemade breakfast every morning that was second to none. Homemade jam and locally sourced eggs for instance. The host was really nice and very informative about the area, history and more. We will be back for sure.

Jo was lovely & so welcoming. Our room was so clean, it was quiet and comfortable. The building is lovely with lots of little quirks like the stained glass windows. The breakfast was delicious. The location is great and the surrounding area is very green and beautiful. Alton Towers is a 6 minute drive away. There are plenty of local pubs, and there was a big Asda & Morrisons a 15 minute drive away.

Absolutely spotless place. Second time i have stayed here and everything about it is fantastic including the room. Steve and jo are great hosts and the the staffordshire oatcakes for breakfast are amazing, the setting is gorgeous right next to the river and alton towers only a mile and a half up the road. I will certainly be having another visit.

Our second visit to the Beehive. Our room was a good size with an en-suite and was spotless and the bed was comfortable, with complimentary bottles of water. Breakfast was home cooked fresh every day and tailored it to what you wanted, There was a fridge with fresh milk provided for each room, so no plastic milk here! . Jo the host couldn't do more for you. If I could give it 11/10 I would, I can't recommend it high enough.

Clean and great location. Lovely breakfast
Great location for Alton Towers. Clean, freshly refurbished and an excellent breakfast. Single beds in the Twin we stayed in were 2'6" beds (3' would be nicer) but perfectly comfortable. Electric shower was new and bathroom spotless. Would be nice if the shower was pumped so had more pressure but this is just me being picky. We will definitely stay here again.

I have visited the Beehive with my niece twice now (2023 and this year) as a base for our annual Alton Towers visit. We stay for 2 nights each year and from arrival to departure it could not be more perfect. The host Jo is lovely and could not possibly be more helpful, friendly or accommodating. The rooms are lovely, very clean, very comfortable and so well thought out for the guests with plenty of USB sockets and smart TV. It is in a beautiful quiet location by the River Churnet, so is also a great base for lovely walks in the Churnet Valley. Plenty of parking too. Finally, the breakfasts are fantastic. Lots of choice, local produce, cooked to perfection with wonderful service. I really cannot recommend it highly enough, and we will definitely be back again for our third visit next year.

We stayed here for two nights whilst we visited Alton Towers, which is really close by. The rooms were excellent : very cosy and clean, well finished and neatly decorated. The hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area and the historic building itself.
