Very clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. There was a toaster, crockery and a kettle in our room so we were able to make our own breakfast. Pool was cool, clean and refreshing. The grounds are well kept. Very helpful manager. Good location. I can recommend and we will definitely be back.

An overnight stay in Nyngan to pick up a new pup. Under new management since early 2024 about half of the rooms have been refurbished. I was in one of the un-refurbished rooms which was still very good even if the decor was a bit dated. I think 'pink' is no longer fashionable... Super comfy bed, good aircon, and a good hot shower. Would stay here again.

NEW OWNERS!!! - and what a difference that makes. I used to stay here bi-annually from 2004 until the former owners took over around 2019, as I have a rental property in the friendly, tidy & safe outback town that is Nyngan. Well, you can read the old reviews still and they are as crappy as the former owners. Now there's new owners/management at The Alamo: lovely people from Queensland well-acquainted with tourists. They are about to start renovating the West Wing as it is quite out of date but the East Wing is lovely. It is clean & quiet, lovely bedding for a good night's sleep and the usual amenities such as microwave, fridge, airco, tv and tea & coffee facilities. My friends and I booked three rooms two weeks ago for two nights and everyone had a positive experience.

The most amazing staff who looked after our every need. Very clean rooms and really soft towels. Nice and easy access to anything you need in town. New owners are so lovely and glad we gave it another go. Definitely staying here again on our next time through!

Tiny room, poor cleaning, mouldy tiles in shower, shower head would not stay up. The room didn't smell pleasant. It looked like the shower cap had been dried and put back in the box. Could not wait to get out of there. The only positive was the lady at check-in, but it stopped there.

Really friendly staff. They gave us some great advice on which route to take to our next stop on our way back to Brisbane as we were keen to stay on sealed roads only. Room was spacious and clean, everything in great condition. Will definitely stay here again upon a future visit.

The rooms are so tiny you couldn’t even walk past another person. Two adults felt like squished sardines in a double room. The owner is over the top, rude, and doesn’t treat his staff with respect.

Black mould, uncomfortable bed and average facilities. They charged a late fee for still being on premises at 10am. Shocking and unacceptable. Will not stay again and have told everyone I know the same
