If you book with Trio you get the worst room in the hotel. That's how we were greeted and that's how it turned out. Super loud and very, very small. A room right next to the reception. The service was very inattentive every day. We had to order or remember things several times. The food was not good and far too expensive. The whole hotel is not worth the price. Not recommended!

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights here and want to return in future too. It is a 130 year old (renovated) property that is so well maintained, with lawn gardens, a pool, bench to sit looking at the tea gardens with a book and even a piano in the bar area. The ever attentive and efficient Amaldi at reception snd every single staff member made our stay special. The food was also tasty- we tried the traditional Srilankan food and they even gave us idli (as we are vegetarians) off the menu for breakfast. Last evening we also met Mr. Fauzi ( General Manager) -a real gentleman who treats all guests so well and observed how true hospitality flows from the top.

This is the one and only Boutique hotel we stayed during our tour around the country. We felt the difference when we arrived at the site with a contemporary welcome. This is at Nanu Oya, about 15 minutes’ drive away from Nuwara Eliya Town towards Thalawakele. We had to change the allocated room as the view was a bit obstructed. It is a small hotel with about 14 rooms in total with few room categories in an old bungalow. There was a temperature controlled (manually) stunning swimming pool in this hill country. Garden was very nicely decorated. They have their own vege garden in the hotel itself. Meals were very good. There was a heater but no Air Conditioner in the room as it’s in Nuwara Eliya, but we felt too hot in the nighttime and had to use the fan. It was a different experience for us. Set on the side of a hill, this is a really inviting hotel. Its facilities are plentiful with activities for all active people. Staff immediately are on hand to help and offer advice to travellers; and done with a smile. The rooms are very well proportioned and bedrooms are modern with old colonial charm. The food was delicious and served on time. The menu changed so was not repetitive. It was well presented and plentiful. The views are incredible, taking in sweeping vistas of the surrounding hills with tea plantations all around. Quiet and restful. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect: the welcoming, the service, the cleanliness of the room, the food… I would highly recommend Langdale boutique hotel!! As soon as we arrived, we felt at home. And the highlight of our stay? The breakfast bag they gave us for our hike at Horton Plains!

A step back into colonial Sri Lanka. A boutique hotel that is a perfect location for a tea plantation walk or visit. Surrounded by many tea plantations this is a perfect place to stay, the hotel only has a few rooms of which ours (deluxe) was excellent, The staff were attentive, a separate bar and great views over the garden for breakfast and dinner. It is a pool that can be kept at body temperature if you let the staff know you are going to use it, plus there is a mini golf area to use. All in all Janet and I loved our stay here at Langdale especially as Aloka was always at hand to assist.

One of the best property with awesome food and the cooking brought out all the flavors. Staff was soft spoken and the rooms was very clean and comfortable. After long drive it was worth to be here and enjoy with nature . Quality time spent with family.

Excellent place to stay, nice boutique hotel, welcoming staff, charming rooms and common spaces, all good. As soon as you cross the door entrance you feel at home. Possible also to have a walk in the tea plantations nearby and see sunset and sunrise, romantic views !
