The room is average, old. The room alone is not worth 1700. There is no need to spend money to stay here, you can walk in to the bar, Thai restaurant, Indian restaurant, afternoon tea, and you can pay with cash or credit card. You can enter all places by punching in. Many people come here to punch in and eat and then stay in other hotels. I think the hill club next door is a good substitute, they are all old houses anyway. Save 1000 yuan and do anything you want, rich people can do whatever they want. The black people here are completely different from the Chinese and white people. When white people check in, they will take you on a hotel tour and introduce you. The black person who took us to the room had a cold face the whole time, and of course I wouldn't give you the tip I prepared if you gave me a face. The hotel has a check-out time of 11 o'clock, please note this. I agreed to 12 o'clock, and he called me at 11:30 to ask me to check out, otherwise I would be fined 5000 rupees...haha

[Location] It's not in the center, it's on the mountainside. It looks like one to two kilometers away from the city, and it's better to be quiet. In the afternoon, I felt a bit cold. The English-style manor looks quite good overall, but it is estimated to be old and the rooms are average. Although warm, it is not good. The dining experience is good, but the service charge is quite expensive. Dinner is a la carte and shows. I also sing a lot of Chinese songs ... Asked the waiter to help book a rush in the morning and packed breakfast, which was not bad.

The location is still easy to find. In the middle alley of two landmark hotels. It rained on the day we arrived, and it was raining and foggy the next day. The weather was very bad, but the homestay was very comforting. The boss is good, the room is beautifully arranged, Beijing people, there is no Chinese socket, hot water bottle, quilt is very warm, dinner introduces us to the nearby vegetable market to buy it, the vegetable market price is super cheap, the homestay also provides us with a free kitchen. One of the most satisfying hotels in this trip, the rooms are huge and the decoration is luxurious. Attentive English service, breakfast and dinner are great. I heard that there were many Chinese guests before the bombing, and this time the hotel was a Chinese. I heard that I had to spend more than a thousand nights, we only need more than 600. Me and my husband went to a 7 day vacation to the firs. The place is aesthetically pleasing and has a rustic vibe to it. The hospitality was a 10/10. The staff were helpful and kind and always had a big smile on their face. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The manager Sudharshan was especially kind and guided us throughout our journey. The food was amazing many varieties to choose from. My husband loved the Sri Lankan cuisine from there. A big Thank you to the team of the firs! ❤️

Unique Cottages is very much in theme with the town of Nuwara Eliiya’s roots of being built and established by the British, in their traditional style. It is like an old English cottage with high beams, cottage gardens, bookshelves, wooden stairs etc. Dinner was selected from a set menu, The continental breakfast was excellent with fruit, coffee, toast and jams and a cooked component of sausage, beans and omelette. The room and bathroom were both clean and spacious, room had a nice little balcony overlooking the street. I liked it was close and walking distance to the main part of town, and lake Gregory allowing a walk to get to know the town a little. There was only me and one other party of four staying, so as solo traveler I would’ve liked something more lively but if you’re looking for a B&B type arrangement close to town, this quiet place has the right ambience/vibe. (Alcohol is not served and house rules do not permit consumption).

Especially good this place is perfect. In fact, I live in a villa, there is a housekeeper, especially good, and the food I eat is also very good. I lived for two days and drink the sea food soup every day. It was delicious and the room was especially clean. It was obvious that it was an old house, but it was really clean and it was very cheap. We two people, the appetizer, the soup, the staple food, and ate 155. The service is so good, the butler is very polite and gentle. Breakfast needs to be selected the night before. The butler also asked us if we need the menu of the main building there. He can get it back in 5 minutes, but I chose to eat here because I want to drink sea food soup. I will come out and ask what is the taste, delicious, really. I really like this place, quiet and fresh. Because I had to get up early in the Horton Plain, I told the butler the first day to take breakfast. It’s a great place to take a lot of photos, but unfortunately only 9 photos.

This was a second visit, sadly both have been for just one night. It is such a change to use an electric heater and not air conditioning (altitude is 1881 metres and so it is cool). The area is known as Little England with many colonial buildings and that is really the style of the hotel. It is lovely ... and the food, well, just say ”Wow Factor” I had a conversation with the manager, a very pleasant man, as are all the staff members. One slight moan is that the room televisions do not get BBC World and most of our hotels on the island did.

This amazing place offers a beautiful view and is a great choice for staying in the Nuwara Eliya area. We stayed in a King Room with a Mountain View for one night. The room was clean and had a wonderful terrace. Managed by a lovely family, we were greeted with tea upon arrival, and the room was equipped with a heater and a warm blanket—perfect for the cool mountain climate of Nuwara Eliya. Although we arrived late, we were pleased to find that dinner was available. While the menu was limited, it ensured we didn't go to bed hungry. The breakfast was exceptional, one of the best we've experienced in Sri Lanka. Cottage San Francesco is cozy, quiet, and a lovely place to stay.
