This was a second visit, sadly both have been for just one night. It is such a change to use an electric heater and not air conditioning (altitude is 1881 metres and so it is cool). The area is known as Little England with many colonial buildings and that is really the style of the hotel. It is lovely ... and the food, well, just say "Wow Factor" I had a conversation with the manager, a very pleasant man, as are all the staff members. One slight moan is that the room televisions do not get BBC World and most of our hotels on the island did.

A remarkable and outstanding hotel, situated in one of the highest (and coolest) villages in Sri Lanka. The rooms were large and commodious, the decor is traditional but not dated and the beds huge and ultra comfortable. The service is even higher than the normal excellent attention you get in this country. The food is done in a kitchen open to view, and was among the best we've ever had anywhere, let alone in Sri Lanka. Can't really recommend this place highly enough!!

Nice rooms with lovely attentive staff and amazing buffet. The location is beautiful with lovely views and the building has colonial charm. The restaurant delivered the best food in Sri Lanka and comparable to the amazing food we had in Kerala.

Wonderful hotel, we loved our stay here The staff were very polite and attending The rooms were spacious and clean and we also loved the dinner buffet and breakfast. They also offer a spa. Great location with scenic surroundings. Would love to stay again.

Very friendly staff who could not do enough for us, food was fantastic too, no complaints at all, mahish in restaurant was lovely and could not do enough, beautiful warm infinity pool, tea factory interesting with evening walk around city interesting

Excellent customer service and location. We had a room overlooking tea plantations. There is a beautiful pool and the restaurant has huge windows looking out over the hills. The night we stayed there were few people I. The hotel so the usual buffet was replaced with a la Carte dining. I was disappointed there was no Sri Lankan food on offer. When I told staff i was told to leave it with them. I was presented with my own incredible selection of local dishes at both dinner and breakfast. So kind. Thanks to Adhi for being so attentive. We also enjoyed a massage and body scrub in the spa

Nice hillside hotel with wonderful views. The entire hotel is very cozy. Meals are delicious. Excellent hospitality. Staff is very friendly. Special thanks to Melaka and Udeshika at the front desk for their friendliness. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent hotel. Will recommend to everybody. Their buffet spread is outstanding and the quality of food irreplaceably the best. Best service offered by any hotel so far. I will come back here again. Though the weather didn’t help us go out a lot we had a lot of fun at the hotel itself
