Iskandar Puteri Hotels with Airport pickup service

We went for Sunway Big Box Hotel for my daughter’s birthday. Surprised with the location that it’s only 10 minutes drive from Tuas checkpoint! Like the bathe room that the water supply is strong and the heater is good, plus that have seat to sit down during showering. The breakfast with variety of food of different cultures. The hotel connected with a supermarket and shopping mall, very suitable to go with family and children.

Unfortunately, we booked a themed room called kingdom, which has only a city view, unlike a pirate themed room and adventure themed room, they have a great Legoland view. Although the room rates are the same. Rooms include 2 separate sleeping areas, with a king-sized bed for adults, and a separate area for up to 3 children, complete with bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and their very own TV. The TV for kids is malfunctioning. Swimming pool at 5th floor Rating: 4 stars Average price per person: MYR500

I really nice spacious room, we stayed in 307, which is a one-bed room apartment, please note there are smaller rooms. this is really good if you are staying for a few days, large living room with an induction cooker, toaster, microwave, and fridge. They also included plates and bowls. for cooking equipment and glassware, you will need to contact housekeeping, i stayed only 2 nights so i didn't bother. one big pet peeve was that the dish provided was too big for the microwave, so please heat up your food in the containers before plating them. Both the microwave and fridge worked well, it made ice in around 2 to 3 hours. the shower was great, with constant temperature and good water pressure. the bedroom lacked a TV only the TV was in the living room, so that was a bummer, the room was also a bit noisy as i think there is a family of birds living in the air-con compressor so if you are a light sleeper, you want to give this a miss. The road outside can also get noisy at all hours. The nightlife is interesting, with quite a few bars and restaurants, and lots of motorized scooter rental stores, this does have quite a big issue with me, with alot of teens and kids zooming up and down the harbor at night, it does get dangerous for families with smaller kids. The selling point of this place is its proximity to Legoland, unfortunately, it is a tad hard to get a Grabcar (a rideshare service like Uber) because at the moment the area is not as busy as it was pre-covid. i see families waiting 30mins to an hour to get a car. If you drive, there is an underground carpark (complimentary). The most disappointing was the breakfast, not enough food, and they were unable to cope with the number of people. they struggled to fill coffee pots, juice dispensers, cut fruits, and bread. once something came out, it was gone in minutes. Overall, I would recommend this place for families, just skip the breakfast and make something in the room.

Spacious apartment. We stayed for the proximity to Legoland and it was an easy walk. Corridors are non-air conditioned and you can see signs of aging of the doors etc due to being exposed to weather elements, but we have a great stay overall. Tried 2 different units (cos decided to book to stay for the night again at the end of our 2nd day there). The condition of the first room was better so it probably varies. Furnishing are all in great condition, only the flooring and shower was a bit older for the 2nd room we stayed. Didn’t try their pool or gym. Will stay here again for legoland, found it to be a good value and convenient option. Not much eateries in the area but if you drive, there are plenty of food options a short drive away.

Felt safe and assured staying at the accommodation. Room is clean and maintained. While not the fault of the property owner, found the area around the accommodation to be a bit despondent - the pandemic has really made it very difficult for developers and businesses to prosper or even to maintain. Hope that with a bit of time, the Puteri Harbour area will thrive again (much like the revitalisation of central JB and the crowds coming back). Will definitely come back to Almas.

We were welcomed by Didi at the check in counter. He was super polite and courteous and we were very happy when he upgraded us to the penthouse 3 bedroom . Although we stayed there for 1 night but his customer service skills was excellent. For the room wise, its spacious and every room has a connected bathroom. If you are expecting a quality hotel room then this is not the place for you. Cleanliness is 8/10. Maintenance 6/10. The wifi is good if you are close to the router. If not its unstable. But overall for a family reunion if you are not too picky is acceptable. The swimming pool also is normal and the toilet is superb. Is not dirty or not maintained. My family enjoyed the swimming pool and the breakfast was on bento and is delicious. If you want a buffet is an additional 20rm per pax for you to enjoy Frasers Place Puter Harbour buffet breakfast. Didnt take picture as we forgot. But overall stay for family is 8/10 for a serviced apartment setting. And also Thank you Didi for the welcoming and also the farewell 👍🏽

First time booking this hotel as we wanted to visit my sister who was doing her confinement at the hotel's west wing side. The staff are friendly and always ready to answer and help out with your queries/requests. The room was clean, odourless and very comfortable. The hot shower is a bonus point as the temperature is consistent. Basic amenities like cotton buds, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided. My room view was scenic and there were lots of greeneries. We got to explore Eco Botanic, a newly developed enclave where there were plenty of cafes, restaurants and lots of shopping to consider doing there, too. Breakfast was good! The international buffet style has a wide spread of local dedicacies. We love the nasi lemak and you can serve with the generous serving of chicken rendang and squid sambal. They were plenty of fruit selection like dragon fruit and honey melons. We will come back again!

Very clean and spacious room. The amenities were great and the pool was shaded which was great for wet/dry weather. Bathtub was available. We ordered food from hotel kitchen and the portion was big for the price. Definitely a wonderful experience after the trip to Legoland.

If you consider as Malaysia, and lower your expectation, this is a near perfect place to stay. I booked at 2 nights for SGD 126, it is an absolute steal. Just across the road is Mall of Medini, where it is connected to Legoland at the other end of the mall. Supermarket, fastfood, chicken rice shop is located in the mall. Just below the block on the left is an indian grocery stall, and a 7-11, and Gleneagles is just at the other side from Mall of Medini. Food are easily accessible in the area during daytime. There is a park, interconnecting other building in the development on G floor. Swimming pool on highest floor at level 22, with a gym. Bath tub is relatively clean, aircon is good, cleanliness is acceptable, only the washing machine was faulty, everything else required is working well. There were 2 toilets, sufficient for all of us, and we were given 4 towels, also with shampoo and shower gel, but take note there is not toothbrush and toothpaste provided. Aircon is cold, wifi is provided upon request, security guard at lobby, this place is recommended. The unit is spacious, my son tried to balance bike ard the house.

First time booking this apartment together with family. Room size is good for children as there are 2 queen size beds. Washing machine, fridge and a small kitchen are available and in great condition. Except for the kettle was spoilt (unable to boil water that night). Cleanliness of the apartment is good. Carpark available. X Park & Big Box about 12 mins drive. A great place to bump in with the kids. Swimming pool & gym also available. Only issue was food and amenities quite far. Need to drive out to get food & drinks.
